Ideation 8,217
My missus is over from Germany (she is studying out there) and we took the dog for a walk just before it got dark. She told me that she fancied taking a ferret and seeing if we could find anything to bolt. Decided to take the young hob chunk. Had a wander through some horse paddocks, and got a mark right in the hedge in a set that i have never seen before, stuck three nets on, and the hob shot down, i was one side and my misses the other, the dog was with me, after a bit of rumbling the rabbit evacuated at speed out of a hole that had been missed on my missus side of the hedge. Tut tut. She watched where it ran and marked where it went into the hedge further up. I knew there was another six hole set there, so we let the dog go and watched him follow the line up to it. Nets on, and ferret back down, it went silent for a while and then bang a big buck hit a net, tangled well, and was followed out by the young hob, who proceeded to get VERY excited and do his wardance about the hedge. Then headed home for a curry. Atb And found this wee fella as well - Quote Link to post

The one 8,598
No being funny but you said it was a big buck and it looks half out the net the net's first mesh seems to be pursed around it's belly mate Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,217
Cheers guys, was a nice walk. The One - the rabbit is dead in the net mate, and i had been ragging it about for the kit, the head was through the mesh when it bolted, and the rest i ended up pulling through when i was shaking it about. It wasn't much bigger than most of the adult bucks here, but what i meant was that it was full grown, from last season, rather than one of this seasons young uns grown on. Quote Link to post
