The idear is to be and gone with the farmer/landowner not even knowing right, So why cut fences ect and bring things too peoples attenion? Not hard to get the dog too jump and even if it dont surely it would be much easyer and quicker quiter just to pick the dog over it? Too much decent land getting made red hot throught that sort of thing

the above atitude for other folks property explains why a lot of genuine longdog men can't get permission to run dogs .as for ramblers one of them must have been only about two foot tall to use the hole in the fence

gotta say in all the years out with dogs most of it without permission only ever seen one do it. first and last time ever went with him cut new fencing in loads of places because basically the twat was to lazy to walk around to the gates .and he was the youngest with us. this was about 10 year ago needless to say never went anywhere near him or the place again which was a shame because it was full of game .

Heard of people doing it and carrying bolt crops for chained gates, the same pricks who show the same degree of respect to their dogs and quarry as they do to the land. I avoid them like the plague but the sad fact is that it only takes a few like that to ruin it for everyone and there are more than a few about. With fools like these involved in the game we are our own worst enemy.

dissagree iv been out with lads that have left there dog at a gate and just waited nd the dog will try and fit through or go under repeatedly some lurchers self teach emsens too jump and others yah have too train,

personally i think this subject about the fence cutting buisness has nothing too do with lurcher lads. alot of the time lurchermen get blaimed for alot of things that isnt them, for some reason i feel were looked down at by people

never used them and never seen anyone use them for lurchers.Iv used them once when digging but we were removing a pest for the farmer and the fence was repaired after the back fill

oooh a raw nerve seriously thow i know most like to leave no trace and respect the land and the quarry but this is in exactly the same place i came accross two roe skinned and gutted and left in the ditch right next to a footpath not a good advert for any fieldsport so if you are pi~~~d at my remarks then sorry as you must be the good guys .but i know what i see and you must a least acknowledge the fact that we have some proper tits working these fields

They must have been disturbed!no one goes to the bother of gralloching and skinning an animal just to leave it in a ditch!!
