i remember seeing a documentary about world war 2,the Americans were flying over some polynesian islands (I think) to attack the japs,years later they discovered these poly's had been worshiping these planes ever since,they'd build effigies of them and burn them every year in hopes it would help their crops.

Undisputed, I can confirm some of this behaviour.....as I was born in that village and lived there for 19 years before I managed to escape one night under darkness......

However I would say, you may be brave enough to slag off the Larky men, but would you do it face to face? They are a wild wild bunch! I think they would welcome you with open arms!!!

Not a nice place folks, stay away!!! In fact most of "Buckfast Triangle" is a deadly zone......Airdrie, Hamilton, Larkhall, Motherwell, Coatbridge, Carfin, Newmains, the list is endless!

good protestant strongholds lol well apart from carfin maybe,ive seen the grotto

Is it...................... :icon_eek::hmm::whistling:

Don't get defensive mate it's only a bit of banter and for being welcomed with open arms... It's not they're arms I'm worried about. But for the record the next time I'm in larky I"ll make sure I say hello to some of my web toed mates

We only used effigies of planes because we ran out of English holidaymakers to burn, there was a war on and all.. ;)
