lapin2008 1,587
lol @ proxy , do you think that is safe from the goverment then ? good luck with that depends on the counrty the server is located, goverments have to get search warrant to check the server, not easy if the server is in a unfriendly country, which most are. on top of that you can use multiple proxys in multiple countrys, no goverments going to go all that bother for something on a hunting website. would i be safe to say if i went with an ip from lets say an eastern country ie talk twatting talk i'm safe? or are they aol? so i wonder, what ip is the best for talking bollox without getting tracked? none really mi thinks try sticking someones name or a dodgey number you don't know in google. just a thought There is no IP that is 'safe' as such, an IP is just the same thing in networking as a house address is in real life. There are governments that will ignore or turn down requests for information relating to who uses their proxies (if they have access to that info themselves), as I said a few posts back the TOR network does do the trick and you would not be tracked down if using this. Of course this wouldnt work on here if you just suddenly started using ToR as your actual IP would already be all over the logs Edited August 16, 2011 by lapin2008

scothunter 12,609
i would imagine it dont matter what server,or how much you cover your tracks.if the goverment wanted to see what you were looking, talking about.it would be a piece of piss to them.they have some of the best hackers on thier payroll.and a cpl of obscure hunters aint gonna stop them thats for sure.yes chimp there are certain words if said or typed will flag up somewhere. rob190364 2,594
Just a general observation on the couple of people on this thread who seem to have done an awful lot of research on hiding their tracks on the internet.........if an authority was looking in on this, wouldn't you have just arroused their suspicions straight away by telling the world how much you know on the subject??? and secondly, what the on earth have you got on your PC that makes you so determined to hide your tracks? dodgy feckers! Am afraid your wrong on this mate, obviously anything written on here can be accessed however in relation to your IP address being tracked the TOR network that I mentioned before these are not under any one persons or governments control (some of them may be accessible to them but not all), any internet active system can participate in this giant network of anonymous systems (some more anonymous then others) for example you or I or ahmed in afgan could install this software on our/their own PCs and also participate in this network of anonymous systems. As the order in which internet traffic passes changes all the time. Even if the gov could access logs on some of these systems this would only be a very small part of the picture and significantly less then they would need to locate you. In relation to the gov having the best hackers on their payroll there may be some isolated instances where very capable people end up there but on the whole the salaries offered by MI5 and other security services are pitiful compared to market value of these people and as such they tend to choose to work elsewhere. If it was that easy to track /locate all people doing illegal stuff then cyber crime could be stopped in its entirety virtually over night and Cyber crime overtook international drug smuggling in terms of revenue for the past few years despite governments best efforts and initiatives etc. What happens in reality is the internet savy people/fraudsters/hackers avoid getting caught on the whole and others posting picture of dead foxes and dont know how to protect their identity get a knock on the door. I work in this area mate... honest I am not an internet based sexual predator... I have never used any of the methods I have mentioned to disguise my IP address when visiting this site and as such the IP addresses in these logs either belong to my home or my office... I do have to sometimes use these methods with work

Guest jt750
Well if you guys think you can hide think again ...The internet is used to track paedophiles around the world and if you put up the defenses like the TOR add on i'm sure stuff like this would be flagged ..you not think they would track mozilla to see who is downloading this stuff. Personally my experience of the net and who's brother is a military sysyems advisor will tell you this. I let him hack my computer through a hardware firewalled router and my computer using norton 2009 security suite at the time and it took him all 5 mins if that ..
