I've only ever known 1 person who doesn't drink and he was a proper straight laced goody two shoes........I'm amazed! I wish I didn't drink, I'd save a fortune! NEWKID 26,482 Posted August 13, 2011 Report Share Posted August 13, 2011 I love to have a drink in good company some of my best times have been out with the lads on a sesh........ but some of my worst times have been a result of being out on the piss, things happen when your drunk that wouldn't happen sober ( that next day feeling is a killer). Never drink at home drinking for me is socialising, would rather have a cuppa at home. I haven't had a drink now for 6 weeks which is the longest time for me since i was about 17, trying to get fit for one more season of football,then pulled my calf in training, think it's time to knock it on the head........... and start drinking again. I got brought a bottle of Glayva the other week and had a couple of small shots the other evening, within a hour I felt ill! not half cut but genuinly ill, been feeling like this now for a while after going on the spirits... bird 9,623 Posted August 13, 2011 Report Share Posted August 13, 2011 i packed in drinking 4 years ago this october and smoking 7years this october. i drink only sat+ sunday night, and then its only 4 cans carling. When i was younger 8 pints a night, it was getting me into( trouble + wrecking my body). And now i feel alot better for it drinking far less + stopped smoking 19 years ago, when you are young you waste your life somtimes, pity you carnt turn the clock back Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I do not need the false feeling drink gives. A pal of mine drinks 7/8 cans every single night at home, 365 days of the year and has done for years. Cannot go anywhere or do anything.
