bird 9,594 Posted July 23, 2011 Report Share Posted July 23, 2011 i hate the things, i get loads round the dogs kennels.What i do it (dont) get rid, but it does hold them back 3-4 days, i put a trail of (salt) all round the dog runs.They have to come in that way, so it kills them, ducks are brill from what i was told, but the slugs i think come out in the dark, so not sure if ducks would be much use at night .? mackem 23,800 Posted July 23, 2011 Report Share Posted July 23, 2011 Diatomaceous earth,wood-ash,cinders from the fire etc will all deter slugs as will a copper-atpe collar(Robert Dyas sells copper-tape),I have a mate who even made an anti-slug electric fence from copper wires and a battery,it worked,we actually saw the slug recoil from the current Quote Link to post Share on other sites
