Help save Lennox.

100's of pitbull types are taken every year , lennox isnt the first and wont be the last

So ..... your point is? Every one of them counts.

Section 1 is a farce - as is most of the act. I knew plenty of other types of dogs - collies, labs, boxers, terriers - that are far more dangerous than a lot of the 'types' who fall victim to this act, mostly because of the aforementioned section. Judging a book by it's cover is ridiculous. The more people who give their support, the better. Plenty of bull crosses on here that look dubious and could very easily be taken. If it were one of yours, would you shrug it off because hundreds are taken every year?

Once again, a lovely breed gets a bad rep thanks to arseholes who require a penis extension on a lead, and people not bothering to learn about keeping their animals properly.

a lovely breed ? its a crossbreed which by the pic looks very bully , at the time of the act (im not sure now) you couldnt dna test a dog to prove breeding hence why if the dog looks like a banned breed it falls in that bracket.

yes your correct that bullcross's could fall into the act aswell but so could lab x grey , dont get me wrong i think the act is a complete arse but can you really see them changing it?

how many petitions on facebook or whatever have had bans overturned?

face it , the dog has had its death warrant signed and nothing you or me will do to change it. take a trip to south mimms kennels and sneak round the back and you will see the death row kennels with lots and lots of non bully dogs aswell waiting for the slab.

The dog in question is a bull cross, same as so many of the dogs on here. How long before they adapt the DDA to include them? Not long, unless folks pipe up.

Say nothing, do nothing, and nothing will change.

... that avatar of your is hypnotic btw ...

dont you think bullcross lurchers havent already been taken ?

... will you do something about that avatar? I can't concentrate ....

They probably have, yes, and that's the point isn't it?

Unless you're one of 'that sort'; you know, the ones who know something is wrong but do nothing about it.

A poorly written piece of legislation hastily put together because of some of the shocking incidents caused by retarted fuckwits getting there hands on a dog when they shouldn't have owned the right to breathe. Apathy is the backbone of this country :whistling: , that was seen when another pathetic piece of legislation was introduced recently, how many folk shrugged there shoulders when the hunting act was introduced?

Dare i say it but perhaps we should of introduced some US guidelines and make certain breeds only available to those over 25????? Yes i know there are plenty of wankers aged 25 plus but surely would of been better than a blanket ban??????

I'm not so sure it'll be a good day. Yes it will stop the targeting of specific breeds, but it will also place restrictions on all other breeds of dogs....

IF it is passed as is currently written - for the UK anyway.

But there are still some appealing to keep the BSL section 1

I agree with virtually everything Chimp has said.....without meaning to sound heartless its hard to have sympathy for anyone in todays times who loses a pit bull type dog.....its not like its a new thing they have been on the banned breeds list for 20 years if an owner has one then they have to take the same precautions anyone else has to take when they are knowingly breaking the law.

Theres no bigger admirer or defender of the apbt breed than me....but the fact is they are simply not for everyone and ive never understood why anyone would want a pet dog that is a cross of the worlds finest canine athlete.

If you knowingly drive over the drink drive limit and get caught you take it on the chin and learn from it you dont stand there stamping your feet protesting that the law should be changed !.....Some dogs look like pit bulls, either get rid of the dog or take the necessary precautions so you dont end up in a situation where the dogs life is on the line......what you cant do is carry on like nothings wrong hoping the shit dont hit the fan.

Plenty of us lost some very special dogs without protesting and starting petitions, you take the risk sometimes you get away with it sometimes you dont.....thats life im afraid.....we know the dda is bollocks, but its still a law that you either paid no attention to through ignorance,or was simply unlucky....either way i dont see what there is to moan about.

As with the Hunting Act, the actions of a stoopid minority labelled the majority.

It all comes to whether you are willing to accept that or fight for change.

The proposed control bill is in it's final stages, having some final tweaks.

Do you think BSL will be removed from it? I don't.

We have had BSL for 21 years, pit bull types being on that list.

Lennox was condemned by 2 measurements - his muzzle and his back.

His litter mate, Diesel, was not considered type.

Who can predict that an American bull x Labrador is going to make a 'type'?

And for the past 5 years his license was provided and he wasn't considered 'type'.

You only have to look through this forum to see many dogs that could easily fall into category and type.

Personally, I wouldn't want to see that happen so do what I can to try to prevent it.

There are always going to be stoopid owners, I am not willing to pay for them.
