terriers pets/ working dogs

working terriers are not pets simple reason being they mess up and they gotta go you can like a working terrier but you can never love one you never no what will happen when your mouching about

lol there workers in my eyes not the missis. she loves it when they come home marked up....NOT.

built for groundwork maybe, un-naturally cuddly with badgers definately.

In 2004 we fostered 3 orphaned badgers, the dogs didn't bother them at all. They were with us until they were 16 weeks old and used to eat out of the dogs' dishes!

All my dogs have to be workers and I like to keep them outside, and when im away to work my wife will bring 1 or 2 in and they are the wife and kids pets, i disagree entirely that they cant be both, a dogs working ability is in its genes not in wether they live in or out the house and wether they get fussed over or not.

of cores its posseble that guy's like us who work there dogs also can have them as partime pets , as long you work them it don't mater where you keep and how you keep them

depends of the breed + what work they are bred for, a lot of terriers bred for hard graft below ground dont make good pets, there is probably the occasional exception to this however.

 

my "pet" parson russel bitch has however turned into a good bushing terrier and only started hunting at the grand old age of 6 and a half, tbh, i didnt think she had it in her, shes 8 now and very handy when i go ferreting with the lurcher

Thats about right, my two Russels live in but they only go Rabbiting, my mate on the other hand goes digging and has got a lakeyxpat and i wouldnt let it near the bloody house its evil!
