More permisssion gained today!

Hi all,

 

Turns out you guys were right about how the gaining of the first permission quickly leads to the gaining of many more! Just didn't expect it ho happen quite so quickly! Today me and Truf landed another 4+ acres of farm land, about 10 mins drive from our other permission. The farmer reports that it's teeming with Rabbits, Squizzers, Woddies, Crows & Maggies! We were literally on our way home from our other permission when we got the call, so we thought we'd have half an hour to look round and it is indeed teeming! Squizzers particularly. We both got an easy 10 metre-ish squirrel each and my new S410 to scored it's first kill with a 40 metre head shot on Woody that was just chilling in a tree above a watering trough

I've not got them either and I'm so looking forward to snaffling one.

 

The land that I had been given to shoot the buggers on by my neighbours daughter-in-law was revoked by her husband

 

The day I was due to go knock some over. He decided that if its that easy he was going to go buy himself a rifle and do it himself he came back with a second user BSA Springer. He got it in Hull, so if its owt like the second hand "FULL POWER HW70 Pistol " that had just been serviced by Hull Cartridge the day before I parted with my cash at this particular RFD in Hull; then he may be lucky that it will actually put the pellet down the barrel

The HW70 (which is a very good match pistol and I knew full well that it would not be putting out 6ft/lbs) was actually putting out just over/under 2ft/lbs :laugh: So I bet they told him the BSA would be putting about 50ft/lbs :laugh:

I was at a farm today ,although farmer said no ,He asked for my Name and number and his wife put it in their home phone book .I took this as a good sign and its the furthest I've got so far.
