Not a coyote hunting pic just a collie/greyxsaluki I had in the mid nineties. Bought him for ten punt in Ballymun he grew into a cracking hare dog. sadly killed at 2 1/2 by a train while chasing a fox. Really miss that dog would love another like him, beautiful dog to watch running and took hare, fox and deer with ease.

dw, what is a cold blood greyhound?

Coldblood greyhounds is a American term for smoothcoated dogs of mostly greyhound ancestry, basically a smooth American staghound.

Rich none of my current dogs hunt coyotes, but there are plenty of dogs that can take a coyote singlehanded, my old deerhound cross in the pics did it once but was mostly hunted with other dogs so didnt get the chance to do single runs as a rule.

Ratkilla, I dont hunt the coyotes any more as I concentrate on the hares with the dogs and falcons. There are a few out there I wouldnt mind killing though, they can be a real pain whilst I am out hunting. I had a pack of four yotes that tried to herd my lurcher away from me and kill him a couple of weeks ago, Percy was too quick and smart and got away from them though.

Some of the places i course the coyotes are very bold and will follow me around when I hunt and try to rob the bird when it is on a kill. This winter I might have some mates with coyote dogs come out with me, that will teach the cocky coyotes a lesson for sure.
