Yo airgunners, had a few hours spare today, which is rare for me, so what do you do with a couple of hours, Yep I went shooting, there's not been a lot on top at the pasture lately, which is good for Mr Giles :) , but bad for my airgun posts :( This land is definitely on the list for ferreting when the cold weather arrives  But its a nice piece of land just to walk on, its one of those places that if you stand in the middle on the hillock you can see for miles in every direction, the Buzzards were out and about, two adults and one chick, there were two chicks but one must have come to grief, or took off for somewhere warmer if its got any sense. Any way, the shooting was'nt fantastic, but I had my fair share of chances, the mongs are still there, they were following me like a band of Apache Indians, only no smoke signals :) But I'm still blaming the mongs for my crap tally though ;) Right, the first bunnie was the easiest, I was just sat there when it popped its head out for some thing to eat, I was going to say that I did'nt know who was the most surprised, me or the rabbit to see each other sat there still as a rock, but then I did'nt wind up getting my head blown off, so I guess the rabbit wins the prize for most surprised :D One down, I love the first one :clapper: Nothing happened for half a hour so I moved on, there's a nice hanging tree that the mongs scratch on, nothing under it because the mongs have worn it all away, it over looks a patch of stinging nettles in front of a dyke, the rabbits have a nice warren in the dyke, so when they come out to feed they make their way through the stingers. So this is where I set up my second ambush, to cut a long story short, I missed at least five, they would'nt come all the way out of the stingers, so it was a case of shooting the gaps, if you hit them they are brown bread :) , if you hit a stem, then they live to fight another day :( I only managed to hit one other, and that was it, a massive bag of two :D And a text that said tea will be ready at 7, so what do you do? home for tea or bag another, hunger got the better of me :D

Keep at them folks!
