  1. Big and Rich are pretty good as well.... To be fair, I like most American Country music. Jason Oldean has a special place in my iPod at the minute; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE6JJ_1kNu4 Of course, the Boss is still my favourite;

  3. I've a small fluffy running dog. He is allegedly a bedlington - whippet - greyhound. He hunts up like a hound, lacks speed, yaps and has a mouth like a rat trap. I have a lot of fun with him. I have taken him all over Europe and he will run anything on any ground. I wouldn't change him.
  4. Killing an animal in the name of human entertainment morally indefensible? That is what all of us on here do (bar the very few exceptions like socks who are employed as pest controllers). I see little difference in what zoos do and what farmers do, they are both using animals for profit. As is anyone who trains and races greyhounds or horses or puts on bird of prey displays.
  5. A well off 'great white hunter' will do more for conservation than any number of photograph tourists or people 'adopting' rhinos.
  6. K Dog didn't have any problems running the cover. It wore him out a bit faster with the weight of it, but that was mainly due to lack of preparatory fitness training. The collars belong to DnN so none of my dogs had worn them before the trip. The pointer was well used to wearing her vest, so she had no issues at all with any cover. If anything it probably helped to protect her from the blackthorn. The pig my pack pulled down didn't have any cutters. If it did, Witch would be dead and I would still be sewing up Klyde...
  7. Whats the breeding of the of the black dog? Looks like a lab x GSP
  8. Have you seen the beddy x poodles for £400 ,it was either Preloved or pets4homes,lol Sounds a great plan! unfortunately they are both dogs...
  9. On the back of this thread I've actually bought a black miniature poodle...
  10. In Oz boar/feral pigs eating lambs are a big loss maker...
  11. Bad craic mate, that's proper shite. If and when you are ready for it, I've a pup here waiting for you.
  12. My mate is a pilot flying out of Geneva. His missus is an ICU nurse and she gets ridiculous pay for that 50k+. Do you have an inside track on any logistical positions shroom?
  13. Those white hounds look branded. Is that legal in France? What about freeze-branding?
  14. The DEFRA approve method for humane dispatch of mink is into a bag then blunt force trauma to the head.
  15. That's down to the individual to decide. However, I think that any terrier will hunt deer, wild boar etc if given the chance. Even my jacking British bred black bitch will hunt deer and wild boar...
  16. These kind of drive big game drives are VERY big business. In Hungary the average wage (according to Wiki) is about E900/month, before tax. The culling fee for a pig the size my dogs stopped is E180 (no, I didn't have to pay). Large trophy boar (dictated by the size of their tusks) are E315-1500 each. I tried putting together a shooting trip for some of the lads I was at uni with last year, but they all balked at the cost. None of them were short on cash either. During my 3 trips I have never come across a Hungarian gun, they were all either German or Swiss. The season for dri
  17. Badgers, foxes, wolves, jackals and occasionally a bear will wander across the border from Serbia or Romania. I don't know about birds of prey.
  18. Been looking through some more of the photos and found this one of a deformed fox. Anyone remember the post from a few years ago of a similar one?
  19. I can order a beer, order a pizza and ask for a kiss. Never found he need for anything else...
  20. Thanks for the offer mate, I'll remember that for next time!
  21. Praprika is an institution mate, can't got to Budapest and not visit Praprika! Had dinner there Tuesday night after the first day of digging.
  22. The standard of accommodation certainly seems to be more luxurious than the steel run and plastic barrel set up I have at home. But for E16 a day I would certainly expect it to be!
  23. A better view of the pig. It wasn't the biggest pig in the world, or even the drive, but it was the one my dogs stopped on their own, so I was well happy. Obviously, there had to be a group shot at the end of the day. I'm under no illusions that they are Aussie style proven boar dogs. Of course they aren't but they had a good go, and I had a lot of fun. I'm already planning my next trip. I was less pleased when we got to Calais and it transpired that Witch's microchip had stopped working. This meant that I had to have her re-chipped and rabies vaccinated. T
  24. After lunch, we were into the last drive of our trip. We were are the extreme left of the line, strung out over some pretty challenging terrain. The steep slopes with cliffs and ridges were definitely testing my fitness. The line went away to our right down into a valley and across the valley floor. There were plenty of bay ups down in the valley, and I began to despair of getting in sight of a pig to point Klyde my Beddy-Whippet wonder dog at. At one point DnN saw a pig at our end of the line. I was otherwise engaged and didn't notice it, and for some unfathomable reason he didn't
