    If I can hold bottom,I will catch pal,wye can go up or dwn 6ft in a few hrs/half a day,just got to know where the fish will be,there was a few braving the elements yesterday,when it's roaring I use straight lead and pva bag of goodies,some paste around hook bait and around the lead as well .my two mates lost some tackle but I didn't lose so much as a hookink,fishing right under my feet and not in main flow,tightlines pal.atb dc

    We fished the wye yesterday,water at the top of banks,5/6ozs of lead to hold bottom,we had 3 fish between us only out 4hrs,try and get out again on Saturday I think,where to on the seven do you fish?pm if you prefer,tight lines.atb dc

    Out with the hounds boxing day and seen a few bumblebees wtf?I had a week ferretting in the highlands last week of September and haven't been since,covers not died back on all my permissions closer to home,everything's under water so struggling for runs with the lurcher.atb dc

    King if your pups brought up running the woods he should learn some sense imo,like the boys have said next slip could be the last wherever you running them,you can't always be what if?     The best thing about the wye is you never know what you catch next,big barbel,big carp,monster chub,big perch or the chance of a pike over 35lb,my mates had a 30 pounder this season and a few late 20 s,a river where you can catch a fish of a lifetime.worth travelling for,cost as little as 30 notes for a season ticket with night fishing,atb dc

    I will be watching river next few days and get out for the barbel, I like it a bit colder before I target the pike,I would really like a zander,hooked one or two but not banked them!that would make my season or a 4lb perch lol,i'll keep dreaming.tight lines atb dc

    Haha my kind of man I was going to relieve the missus of her duties last night to keep her sweet when I went out with the dogs for 4 hours this morning, but she insisted. Pure bliss it was. Didn't see a soul and the dogs had some good fun... you got to keep the wife sweet gaz,I did my bit yesterday ,spent building prams/cots and f***ing lego for the boys lol wouldnt change it,but a man needs sometime alone with the dogs as not to go insane,lol.atb dc

    my local,good turn out mounted and on foot,lot of the ground was soaking,earned some brownie points taking chairwoman home after the pub,she not riding after horse threw her at fence week before last.a good day. Atb dc

    Pants,good boot socks,new wallet,down the beam by jd,a few Harcombe books for my collection,magnetic bracelet for me wrists,and as always boxing day out with my dogs doing abit,no calls,no texts f***ing bliss,dogs all fed and cleaned up,if the wife puts out later on I be well pleased,lol,could let her off and she might let me out to play tomorrow ,all in all I've had a good Xmas, kids happy,wife happy dogs content ,hope you all had good un too.atb dc
