  1. airborne cuda putting the chop on a 2lb live bait then shedding the part with the hook in lol couple of pics of a top man Alvin a lobster and conch diver who knows ever inch of his local island waters he puts you on fish and gets you a treat at the end of the day
  2. couple of downers from a few years back in the days before waterproof camersa done 2 cameras with a stack of photos of bonefish jacks and snappers when I stumbled when wading the flats and on another trip done another camera with some great shots of sharks and cudas when we rented a boat and attempted to land on a far off off cay and misjudged the landing and rolled the boat in the surf lol shit happens just have to keep on . the joy of stalking a group of big jacks when the reel starts singing and the pain of loosing it
  3. a cheers Nk it can be predator heaven some islands are over fished and cudas are highly prized for food but get away from the crowds and the action can be immense , and if the bones arnt around these blue jacks on an 8wt are great fishing I was sold as a very young lad on this type of dream fishing.. unfortunately I've only experienced it in dispatches, I love the idea of being involved in a small community for a few weeks and fishing plus mucking in.. close to heaven in my book...   4. that's a great write up NK I know where your coming from sounds a great moment in lifes journey ,I have had some of my best times whilst visiting some far away places , 1 comes to mind instantly, a deck chair attendant offered to take me out on my first visit to cuba he saw me catching small permit off the beach with a fly rod while I was on a family holiday he spoke no English I spoke no Spanish but we arranged for him to take me out on the ocean the following day for a tenner , I was buzzing at the thought of trolling the yo-zuris for cudas and casting a 10 weight at savalou and macarbi th

  7. a brace of fly caught cudas in the first 10 mins out the boat caught no more that day
  8. one of me mate having a wrestle with a lemon shark est 200lb on a 12wt set up , I chummed a few sharks lemons and nurse to the back of the boat then he hooked up , I had a kip for hour and 1/2 and they woke me up when got it side of the boat lol

  13. done a deal wit a couple of deep drop fisherman to get us out on the deep , they fished for red snapper in the morning then they trolled us around looking for tuna in the afternoon , we fed the island population of 50 and they fed us wild goat and lobster took us on the flats for bones and cudas for a week they kept any cudas under 10lb and any over went back alive , very little money changed hands was the best place I been to a small island 60 miles north of mid cuba atb
  14. have had a bunch of good times and have had good and bad along the way , next trip for me is cuba for a week living on a panga boat just need decent weather to make the trip good atb if its swims we try and catch it ,

  16. thanks newkid I cant begin to describe how addictive it is we were only a bunch of pike and zander anglers who took our tackle abroad blew up rods melted reels lost great fish uploaded our tackle and landed a few cheers

  19. thanks for comments worked hard to get on them trips and have good and bad weather which is key , once had 13 days of high winds and heavy rain and couldnt get out on the water to fish , rented cheap 16ft boats with crap engines and guided ourselves in the early days , have broken down miles from nowhere got caught out by tides and had boats stuck on sand flats lol made some bad mistakes and rode our luck a few times when the weathers good you fish hard from dawn till dusk , best weve had is 29 diff species on fly on one trip and 300 cudas on another trip but like all fishing you get your blan
