  1. What he said! Kate the Trout is obviously just doing his/her/it's level best to wind everyone up. Poor ol' jimbob was just a silly laugh. Kate is a good ol' fashioned trouble maker.
  2. Nah.........never a plonker LG...........It's a good question actually.........and without appearing to be clever in the answer they are two different species (Sciurus Carolinensis) Is the Grey Squirrel and (Sciurus vulgaris) Is the native Red Squirrel. Red Squirrels are considerably smaller than the Grey Squirrels and weigh in at about 285 grms to the Greys 450 grms on average. There are other distinguishing features such as ear-tufts on the reds........but this can sometimes be misleading as greys can also have them (albeit to a lesser degree) sometimes. Rolfe. Cheers Rolfe, I for

I was married for 14 years once...........can't for the life of me remember breaking two mirrors Rolfe.
  4. Thankfully mine haven't discovered the merits of rolling in shit - yet. But I've been teaching them to jump lately, and the other day the saw something on the other side of a fence, hopped it and had a right good roll. I watched them and thought sod it, what's the point in calling them off now. Well! They came back with what looked like bits of mince and great long snotty-looking clods of mucus all over them  The stink made me heave and it takes a lot to turn my stomach. I'm with compo on this - whatever the primal instinctive reason, I think they mostly do it so they can have

I like your thinking Skycat Life isn't about what happens to you: it's about your attitude to the things that happen Isn't always easy to be a half-full type of person, but I think doing our best to be that way charges up our karma. Killing spiders is supposed to make it rain or something. There must be millions of spiders killed in this country every single day Never crack a mirror, brings bad luck for seven years. Never let a fair haired person be the first to cross your door at New Years (I think, learned that one from my scottish ex-inlaws). Never walk under a ladder
  6. Probably going to make myself look a plonker here but ... if it's albino, how do you know it's grey
  7. Just what is it we're supposed to understand Kate? You've not done much other than poke people with your stick. What a prat

  11. Canadian beaver is the best beaver around I'd love to see Magwitch modelling a pair of his pelt underpants Poor Jimbob, I hope the polish man didn't lose patience with him and do him in
  12. She is uber cute All the best with her.
  13. Yep, he's gone Can't see why he'd be deleted, he was being Jimbob - obviously someone just having a laugh and being silly, surely not (Ihope) actually serious! I wonder if he disappeared into the abyss with Cammo Man.
  14. There was a silly thread going earlier and it magically disappeared ... along with our Jimbob Has he been abducted for alien experiments?
  15. Excellent Russ Would your mate mind a lass tagging along sometime? Hopefully we won't get our dogs confused
  16. Well by all means SW, you're smarter and more eloquent than the old Trout - carry on
  17. You guys, our Kate the Trout is sat at her computer with her pot and spoon, stirring away and having a giggle at us for getting wound up. Leave her to her ridiculous ideas, she's not worth our :stinker: . We can all see how wrong, backwards, ignorant and superior she is - let's just leave her to it :wankerzo4:
  18. Bry, that sounds like a terrible accident. One of mine was killed in a bad accident in January. But I'm a believer that dogs lives are meant to be lived, and running freely is something I wouldn't take away from them. Plus, my grey is a pacer for the pup; chasing the grey in that long grass, through sedge etc has made the pup very agile and fit. Sorry about your dogs You kept her back for yourself but let her go and I'm reaping the rewards - she's a belter, got everything she needs to make a top dog. I'll let you take some glory tho; after all, you bred her! Meet me for
  19. What a peach!! Lurchers ARE mongrels. Just like the Labradoodle! I think you will find most folks mongrels on here are far from useless. Bred to do a job. Dogs breeding was originally 'altered' to allow them to do a specific job. And very few could now do that job they were bred for. Even the pure breeds - from whippies to cockers. The difference between working dogs and show dogs is huge. Working cocker types would be laughed out of a show ring, just as show cockers would never make the grade out in the field. Am becoming more interested in what you breed? These dogs you have produced since
  20. I will swap you for gutrot if you like. It even comes with bum wee. OMG pmsl ....
  21. Cheers Mag I used to do the pushchair too ... imagine shoving a double push chair, containing twin babies, across a boggy field, with two dogs in tow and a 2 year old boy running wild Thankfully they're all good walkers now. I'm usually on my own with them so nobody gets carried. We have regular rest stops and fuel up with goodies along the way - works a treat They all love getting out, seeing the wildlife etc. One of the girls is a bit soppy tho and freaks out when the dogs chase things ..... I'm hoping she'll grow out of it
  22. ... you know who you are Following instructions and getting her out as much as possible. I've also set up a ramp and some jumps in the back garden for practice and the pup's confidence is really coming on. Unfortunately, I wasn't sprogless this time around - but, being a woman, I find it easy to manage two dogs, three kids and a camera Today's frolicing: This pup is a loon - she never runs out of energy; makes me tired just watching her. Kids were hiding in the grass - there were a few near misses with them and the dogs Thankfully, the kids have leaned to freeze wh
  23. Up behind the lodge today Ash? Must've just missed you .... I got there around 2.30 Met your lurcher out with your brother and his mates a couple of weeks ago, she's a nice bitch. Good luck with the pup - we'll have to better coordinate our walk times so our pups can get some running in
