my pup is 7 month old and is showing loads of promising signs but her sister is not intrested at all just wants to play all the time and is not intrested in chasing anything they all mature at diffrent speeds good luck

the swelling has all gone down this morning and she is walking without any limp,she is even trying to chase birds that are flying past so just a case of waiting for the cut to heal then back on with the training cheers daz

do people give this to dogs to take swelling down after cuts,as my pup has a small cut on her leg from barbwire fence the cut isnt too bad but has swollen a little and she is finding it hard to stand on that leg i think its because the leg is a little stiff,but i was told to give her half an ibuprofen just making sure befor i do cheers daz

i got my bitch jumping wire fences by laying my coat over the top to start with,did this 3 or 4 times then took the coat away and walked off and left her i didnt get far befor she was at the side of me

my dog gets raw food and abit of veg,i thought onion was bad for dogs

i get breast of lamb from the butcher and buy the odd bit of minced beef i also buy chicken wings from supermarket,i am going to find a halal butchers as ive been told by people on here you can get chicken carcass free from their,also use what you catch and shoot

if you have put the effort in since it was a pup mate it should not take much training at that age as long as recall and retrieve are ok it should be just about ready to work,im no expert but thats just what ive gathered from reading as im only just bringing a pup on myself -
cheers mate would you leave her unspayed or get her spayed,i dont intend to breed with her but does it make any diffrence

at what age is my bitch likely to come into season she is only six months but i wanna keep her well out of the way when she does?how often will she come into season?is it worth getting her spayed if not going to use her for breeding or is she better having her seasons? cheers daz

i have a collie who is just a pet he was from a rescue centre but is getting on abit now maybe 12 to 14 but he catches the odd rabbit and squirrel thats what made me buy my lurcher

cheers for the replys i am going to start building a kennel and run just after christmas,like i say it will be for another dog in the future but would also be good to get my pup use to it aswell

at the moment i have a lurcher which is kept indoors but eventually i would like to get another dog but the only way i could do this would be for it to live in a kennel and run. so i am wanting to know do you get much noise from them living outdoors or are they quiet once they are use to it cheers daz
