Got sorted with to marking hounds "Foxhound cross harrier" so hopefully there as good as I'm told they are. Thank for the replys lads.

I found walking out hounds was the quickest way to take there independents away and was only teaching them to stay around your feet and if you start walking through cover with them you will have to be doing it for evermore.

I'd send them back to garmin and if they ask any questions just tell them you go on hunting trip's to France.

No harrier I haven't got sorted yet with a marker. And I know your right about buying one wouldn't be a good idea but when your stuck for one I'd chance it if it came 2 it. I know it's hard 2 get a good one. And one that's slowing down might not suit either because a friend of mine came out with me the weekend, he had a couple of older hounds but they really struggled to keep up wit mine after 20 mins hunting.

Yes they can be hard work but I love that drive and voice when there on. Yes I'll have 2 try and keep them around the hole. The marker used 2 keep them there until we got there and then they used 2 just move on just as we landed. Well I have gps bunnyboiler but they didn't seem to wait around the one spot at All Last Week.

Well as flash said harriers seem to just want to hunt on, so the they don't stay around the hole but I'll have to try and start pegging them but that's easier said than done sometimes. And yes milliken they will hunt hares but that I don't mind so much because I've seen so many times when hunting a hare, the hare will bring them on the scent of a fox. I always know when there on a fox because I have one dog that won't bark on hare but will on fox so when I hear him open up I know it's a fox.

Cheers mate. I keep harrier and the marker was a the only fox hound we had.

I'm from mayo milliken. I got one of the 2 only because I had a good idea where the hunt went quite but the second I wasn't as close to them and couldn't find the earth. It's really not the same without one. Jes I hope I won't have to wait that long milliken it must have been toucher.

hi lad's i need help. i went to load up the hounds sunday morning only to notice the old girl never appeared from the kennel so took a look and there she was stone cold. RIP jess. went out anyway and got great hunting put 2 toground but no body marked either den. its only a small pack we have so we're lost without our only good marker. i know it's a long shot but has anyone a good marking hound they can sell me even one that's slowing down abit?

I Had to kennel a few together for a while when I was short of space but paid the price never again will it be done.

Yes they are very good in woodland. We do some very big blocks and they work great.

Don't wast you're money on them, the only one to go for is the garmin system.

Personally I wouldn't chance it. No matter how good off line it came from, there's good and bad in every litter and you could have (but hopefully not) ended up with something not worth breeding from. Is there no other dog you can use?

With the bellman box it will pick the collar nearest it when you turn it on an stick with that collar until you turn off the box.

It's a alpha I have but if you go into map settings you should be able to change it because mine was just showing a blank screen until I started playing around with it an now it shows woodland, bogland an everything else.

Thanks bullmastiff. I bought my alpha handset from handtec and would have bought collars from them but there out of stock & have been for a while now and couldn't tell me when they would have them back in stock. i tried pairing the collars i got from the usa but the handset doesn't seem to be picking up anything from them. what software is on your alpha bullmastiff? it's 3.9 that's on my one but i think i'll have to down grade it to 3.7 anyway's.

I've just bought to new tt 15 collars in the United States so I'm hoping they'll work on my alpha when I get home.
