  1. That was the best one I owned he was not a bad dog but not good enough for what I wanted from a dog but the lad I let him go to loved him for ferreting and lamping and the lad lived and worked on a farm with a lot of hares on the land and the dog killed a good few when they jumped up while out ferreting, he wasn’t fast but he had a lot of wind, the lad owned him for years till he died of old age , he still was talking about him last season when I had a few days ferreting with him
  2. A Mike Brown bred dog from the past , no longer with us.

  4. A common breed around here 30 years back the dh x gh x gh x beddy but you don’t see them much these days
  5. No mate but I’ve seen the dam and sire to the dog on vid and both of them look handy rabbit dogs too. The lad bred the sire.
  6. I'm not sure mate she's not my bitch no more.
  7. That's it Bob it's just too early with all ready owning a young bitch but like you say you just have to get them when a good'un comes up.
  8. Gutted, too slow I missed out there Keith.
  9. If she's taken there's one for me and one for my mate coming up but tbh I should have one because no money could buy the mother to them when she was up and running but I am happy with this young little bitch and I just like to own the one running dog these days for the rabbit job which I think that's all you should need for a few trips a week but you never know what's around the corner for a running dog I know so may be mate
  10. He lined her five weeks ago Tomo, the dog is beddy whippet greyhound x collie whippet greyhound so the pups will be 6/8 whippet greyhound 1/8 beddy and a 1/8 collie. The dog stands at 22” and from what I’ve seen of him on vids he looks a good little dog mate.
  11. Cheers Bob, their coming back well local to me so Jess as not run many dales rabbits.
  12. She’s doing ok Neil cheers, no I gave up looking for one that was as good as my old blue and white whippet mate
  13. Cheers mate no she’s not as good as the grew was at the min but early days, she had to be retired early mate so she got gifted to a lad that wanted to breed out of her with his dog
  14. Work wise Fred not much in them but to live with I like this one more, she listens more and less head strong mate.
  15. Just put some clips together from the last few months of the season with Jess, from the day after buying her to her last couple of catches. It will push half hour on if your bored ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebHRoplz3ag
  16. Collie x whippet greyhound just over 21'' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gu-Fty-yzAc
  17. I ran a few deerhound greyhound x saluki greyhound’s back in the 80’s and early 90’s I liked them ?
  18. At about five or six months old with a older dog, if they’ve got what it takes and you show them plenty it doesn’t take them long to start knowing which hole the rabbit is going to bolt from.
  19. She run into a concrete post head on mate
  20. She was gifted to a lad in the midlands so he could put his 22’’ beddy x whippet greyhound x collie x whippet greyhound over her so the pups will be a 1/8 beddy and a 1/8 collie 6/8 whippet greyhound, seen the dog on vid on rabbits and vids of him on other stuff single handed and he would put some bull x’s to shame. With some luck if she’s taken the lad’s sending us a couple of pups up, they will be my kind of running dog ?
  21. Cheers mate more to come next season and with some luck there will be a couple of new pups on them out of the brindle whippet greyhound I was running if she as taken ?
