The best lamping rabbit and all round fox dog I've owned was a first x bull greyhound bitch , she didn't look like the bull x's you see these days she looked more like a lab x greyhound , owned her from a pup until she died of old age , she kill her last fox at the age of ten which was bolted out of a drain, she never saw a dales rabbit but I know she would of catched good numbers up there ?.

Had a lad up today to pick the Merle bitch up so showed him a bit of Yorkshire hospitality and sent him home with a couple of ferrets too

Yes at the min Neil, I’ll have to get the old whippet out of retirement and the nets out until the pup gets a bit of age on her back and I don’t mind going out watching mates dogs work mate but you never know something could come along ??

Tbh she’s not a bad bitch compared to some I’ve seen that’s why I’ve kept hold of her all summer but she’s just not my kind of running dog so I’ll see if I have more luck with my pup with only a 1/6 in her ?

I'm gifting my merle bitch to a good lad that likes the breed at the weekend , I can live with her being a bit sensitive at time but she's not got enough drive for me, like you said never again but I said the same 30 years ago lol.

From what I've owned and seen Fred most whippets will work all day and put in a good shift lamping rabbits mate.

The last one I owned was a Hancock bitch the black and white rough Bitch on some of my vids , she was a nice bitch to own and was fast but only had half a days work in her , she had no wind at all she had about ten rabbits in her on the lamp then she was done. She went for free to a lad that works her with nets and he says she’s the best ferreting dog he’s owned but not my kind of ferreting dog ?

I can't see why not if the pups make good un's , the lad owns dam which is staying and the sire which he bred and the rest of the litter are around him but it will come down to if the lad needs another dog at the time I think mate he's not about the money.

She's out of a black working greyhound put to Dave sleight's ped whippet brindle Sam, I've read on here about you asking about Dave's dogs, I don't know the man but I've seen some good dogs bred out of his stuff he knows what he's doing when it comes to breeding rabbit dogs and he's owned some good pure running stud dogs from what I've seen out of them too. The pups we've just picked up are 1/8 collie 1/8 beddy and 6/8 whippet greyhound we should have some fun with them on the grass land
