  1. What do you want it for? There was a Meopta 6x42 on the Airgunbbs yesterday for around £150 which is a good buy.
  2. I have a Lenser T7 and a Fenix, both good but the Fenix is better imo.
  3. Yes Ian, read through all the posts cheers.
  4. Cheers for all the advice, i had looked at that website and the Mitie ad for my area finished in March even though its still up on the board. I will mil them a CV and covering letter anyway, thanks ratattack.
  5. I am keen to start in pest control and have done a search of old posts, the general concensus seems to be start with one of the nationals to gain experience and qualifications. I have applied to some of the big companies but am not having any luck, recently made redundant. What do you think of the franchises? Prokill etc I have also looked at the Killgerm courses and the online courses at BPCA,has anyone on the forum set up with no prior experience other than the courses?and how did it go? cheers
  6. Do not doubt his heart, any man that steps into a ring or cage has my respect. Toney is a shot fighter but it will only take one punch to turn that fight on its head, Mercer dd it against Sylvia. Lesnar is a great wrestler, awesome g&p and a genetic freak but he should not be beating the best MMA has to offer. Its like great squash player winning at Wimbledon, should not be happening. Regardless of his loss to Werdum i think Fedor would destroy Lesnar, Overreem too. Shame they are not in the UFC
  7. I understand what gnasher is saying, yes Brock is a awesome athlete but you should not be top of the tree in such short order regardless. He beat Randy another awesome athlete but a smaller man, he could not have beat any Heavyweight boxing champ in that time frame though, even Tyson came up through the ranks. It does make a joke of MMA and i am a fan.
  8. Had my CZ 2 years, probably fired 10,000 rounds, never cleaned the barrel yet.
  9. The rifle bare only weighs 8 1/2lb according to the specs, i think you might be better off getting 6 inches lopped off the barrel to improve the balance, i know the sps Tacticals have a 20" tube. What stock have you put on the rifle? When i was a kid i used to tramp for hours carrying a HW80 (weighed a ton), all shots were free standing and i never complained, know i am just a moaning old fart!!
  10. Going through the same thing myself with my 308 Howa, i bought the stainless varmint with laminate stock weighs around 10lb, cracking rifle for the rang but heavy for lugging about stalking. I have since put a stock on from Edi at PSE Composites and i am going to get the barrel chopped, the rifle then will be around 8lb bare, easily manageable especially with a niggeloh backpack sling, if you like it keep it.
  11. SOLDI have a Howa short action varmint barrel laminate stock for sale, excellent condition. Stock only £90 posted
  12. Do not know if you have seen them but these are good books, i have them all http://www.allotment.org.uk/book/ good website too for us landownwers
  13. Get a Burris Fullfield with ballistic plex off ebay from the states, cracking scopes and a great reticle. As for the Howas, well made, very accurate, heavy though. Love mine!!
  14. This might be worth a look http://www.ccc3.org.uk/?page=home
  15. I had a MTC Mamba 4/16x50, it was ok, big, heavy and iffy on higher mag. Sold it and bought a Fullfield 11 from the States (ebay) absolutely cracking scope, miles better.
  16. Same as this one? http://www.ibstocktackle.co.uk/hogan-firearms---decimeater-air-rifle-moderator-1276-p.asp
  17. Rabbits under 75 yards .22 rimfire, over 75 yards .17 HMR. Fox take your pick but make it a centrefire, .22 Hornet, .222, .223 etc
  18. 35 quid it tells you in the ad above
  19. Would not mind taking the pigskin bus to tuna town with her either
  20. He was the nutter who had photos of muzzled matches in his mag? Appeared in one of Ed Reids old videos and wrote some articles for Bull Terrier Times.
  21. Its in the Countrymans weekly, 82 quid.
  22. I shoot a Howa 308 without a mod or muzzle break, it has a MTc Mamba on it and is fine. The recoil is not that bad, you do lose sight picture but thats to be expected. Make sure you get decent rings and bases and your scope will be ok, i use Burris Zee rings and Leupold bases. regards
  23. I own a Howa 308 varmint s/s laminate, cracking piece of kit. They make guns for Weatherby not Remington, the Howa is a lot better than a similarly priced Remmy imo. Very accurate well made rifle, heavy though. Picked mine over a Tikka because the Tikka feels a bit flimsy and toylike to me.
  24. Both by Plummer , a tenner each including post Cheers
