Hello, I am in Canada so FAC is not a problem. I have a .22 Pro Sport putting out about 14FP. I love a lot of things about that gun but I break my arm cocking it , after a good practice session, I am worn out. I know it`s the shorter cocking arm , but I want to reduce the power on this gun, My question, to make it more pleasant to shoot and still keep accuracy and enough power for vermin, what FP should I aim for..? PS I have a TX200 and a 97 K , 15 fp and 12 fp, respectively, and I can crank all day with no pain, so it`s not the noodle arm syndrome (DaveyT63).. Happy New Year to al

Same as for the FAC/ or what we call PAL, basically same as your paperwork and waiting time. We don`t have any face to face with the police to finalize things.. -

Sorry for the delay, technical horror show here, computer !!, anyhow we need a FAC (PAL) licence here for anything over 6 FP, and when it is approved the sky is the limit. My most pwerfill springer is a .22 TX200, has a Vortek kit in it , puts aout around 16 FP, also have a newly arrived and tuned HW95 .22 at 15 FP which will be in my hands in about an our for a full evaluation, I believe that the .22 cal is a little sweeter on the firing line.. IMHO. Thanks for your thoughts folks.. -

Charles whitman in the 1960's,the texas tower sniper,one of the first spree-killers of the type,local citizens brought out their weapons and pinned him down till cops finished him off. Really have to go back in time to find this ??

What I keep wondering about is that all we here is that everyone is "packing" in that country, well I haven`t seen anyone able to fight back in these attacks, whether schools, theaters or whatever.. where are all the "pistal packing rednecks" , it just doesen`t make any sense to me.

I seem to hear that a .22 springer has a more pleasant shot cycle, on average, compared to a .177. Any truth to that info?

I was sitting here shaking my head, 450 , what a deal, but when you translate pounds to Canadian dollars , its 2 to 1, so now I see it as a nice deal, not of bloody FANTASTIC deal, I was so jealous for a while,, But I`m still jealous a bit, congratulations..

Right. Now Ive tried squirrel before but its always a bit tough... so havent tried prepping it for eating again. I must... Its always a f****r to skin too, there built like tanks. Try this , soak overnight in salted water in fridge, then simmer in fresh water for 90 minutes, let cool and remove meat from bones, ready to use .. also ,the slit over the hind quarters and standing on the tall to pull skin off works great..

I have both model rifles you are looking at, I favor the 95 for it`s being lighter in the bush to carry. For a scope , I love the MTC reticle called the SCB on my Mamba lights and Viper..Welcome to a great sport. -
Just my opinion, I always start with a question, " Are there any small creatures on your property causing you headaches?", You will either get a yes or a no or ,"What do you mean?, then you can flesh out what you have to offer. If the property owner doesn`t see any problem then you can`t be of service. Works for me .. Good luck..
