  3. this mentoring thing is pissing me right off. its just a made up law the police have got into there heads. i think if your granted a rifle you should be able to shoot it on your own. what i cant understand about this and tell me if i have got it wrong. is your flo has said you need a letter off someone else who shoots to say your safe to shoot the land you have put forward ? otherwise you have to have mentoring ? what i find very wrong is the flo told you the land is past for 22lr but only to someone who has shot rifles for years ? so that mean they have open ticket ? if not the
  4. just be yourself and tell the truth on everthing he askes you
  5. lad on the bbs thewildthing aka marcus has a 204 howa and from what i have been told. and seen from his findings on there its a super tool and very accurate. again reloader 10 and 39 grain blizkings are superb
  6. most of the consistanty your after is from good case prep nit just col. ie''' stick to one brand of case. after there fired clean them in a sonic cleaner clean the primer pockets and flash hole, use mandle to make sure the neck is nice and round. trim them if you need to so there all the same length. case prep is very important if you want it consistant.
  7. AIUI the powder charge determines velocity and accuracy , the COL affects accuracy. It very much depends on yours barrel and chamber. dont forget if you go to long on the col your have trouble feeding the rounds from the mag. what sort of groups you getting at the moment. uf there good leave them as they are. people i no stick to a length then up the charge abit at a time till they get presure signs like sticky bolt or flattened primers. then they back off abit. then once thats done make some more rounds with that charger but at different col to then see which shoots the best
  8. i would go for hornet over hmr anyday
  9. depends what you want for the gun mr l if you want something cheaper and just as accurate tehn savage is a good bet. look at the reviews online and see which comes out top in the accuracy. im not saying sako are not a better built rifle but there a hell of a lot of money. if it was me i would get a cheap secondhand rifle and get a custom barrel put on it. will prob work out cheaper then the sako
  10. 1 inch high at 100 yards is about the norm to go for.
  11. never seen any flash from mine when using it at night with a mod on. if you had a 22/250 with a short barrel you mite see it. average barrel lenght is around 24 inch's tho so shouldnt be a problem. as for extra noise get aq good mod and your sorted. as for the rifle does it have to be a sako ? yes build is better then most rifles but wont shoot any better then some of the other make rifles. savage rifles worth a look. not as refinded as the sako but soild and accuracy will be spot on. i would go as far to say as best out the box accuracy of any factory rifle. look at the reviews the

  13. what a muppet he sounds tell the land owner about it at once
  14. bob if your planing on buling a 20 cal rifle have a look on at the 20 tac. you can get the brass all ready done now. and well speed is only just down on the 204 the accuracy is stunning. i no 3 or 4 people that have one. and there superb
  15. bargain for the money. and as 222 is mild barrel wear will be very low. there last for years and years
  16. i got the 12v 20amp and had it over 3 years. it gets used once if not 2 twice a week and its still fine. just look after it. and soon as you get home after use charge it. weather you had it on 1 hour or 3 hours
  17. as said your not going to get much more performance. so i would keep what you have or go up to 22/250 lazer flat and anything over dial over
  18. yes james that will be fine i went out last night foxing. didnt shoot any rabbits but there was a good number there to be shot. i would say 60 to 70 rabbits. so 25 will not be a problem. forward me your number by pm and we can arange something
