  1. sorry if this should be in sales but i'd rather offer it to ferret owners on a ferret forum, if you know what i mean. i have a few spare bottles of GENUINE ferretone, anybody need a bottle or two ? £5.50 a bottle posted ( it's quite heavy so post isn't that cheap i'm afraid)
  2. i have two already and am thinking of selling one when the new hob arrives
  3. i agree with kay, all three of mine like to jump out of the hutch and lick my hand and play bite/fight, i think they are genuinely pleased to see me and find it natural to interact with what they view as "a big ferret" however, soon as they get in the carrying box, it's a different story. two of mine are 14 months and my big hob is over 2 years and they sulk if i ignore them , don't stop the playing, ferrets need to have fun in my opinion and if they have fun with you then all the better
  4. testing the water, i will be getting another hob next week and seeing as i already have two snipped hobs i was thinking of letting one go he's a big polecat, soft as grease, a touch playful when working with other ferts but works ok when on his own....not sure how much i'd get for him though, any thoughts please
  5. i get about a bit at work and while driving around i have noticed the tremendous amount of moles that seem to have appeared, absolutley hundreds of molehills everywhere, i'm used to seeing a few here and there but i've never seen so many, i'm wondering if i should be looking to learn to sort these little buggars out, do any of you lot persue moles and do you have any success ?
  6. looking for a copy of the art of longnetting by harold wyman.....anybody got one for sale please ? will pay postage or collect if near to derby/notts/burton
  7. now that is a PROPER hob ! need big bunny holes for him
  8. good on ya for asking the questions darren get a couple of books or dvds and DO YOUR HOMEWORK on ferrets and ferreting, it's not just a case of getting a couple of ferrets and sticking them in a hole ( i prefer two ferrets rather than 1 ) they need lots of handling and attention EVERY day, please don't just go and get a ferret or two, make sure you are well prepared and owning stinkers will be a pleasure......oh and keep asking the questions on here or people you know who own ferrets but above all, NOBODY knows it all !
  9. thats odd........my mobile has absolutley no effect on my mk 3
  10. i hope you got two of these mick cos i thought we had a deal after your phone call the other day ??????
  11. not even a chance to reply to your pm cheers mate !
  12. how much for the net mate ?
  13. i think you may have answered it yourself mate......plus all ferrets are not the same size and shape mate, most ferts put weight on during summer due to not working, work him and watch him get thin
  14. Ferret will only shuffle backwards and makes a sort of growling/ barking noise. Occassionally breathing heavy, tendancy to let his glands go, he has a soiled back end but stools seem to be normal. He does not appear to be in any pain. The hob has been living with two jills, they are unaffected. any ideas anyone.........?? distemper perhaps ?
  15. can someone please help, i'm having trouble finding a water bottle that doesn't leak i now have 9 different ones and they all seem to leak ! all i get is a constant drip that soaks the floor of the cage, am i the only one who has this problem ? if you have a leak free bottle, could you get me a couple and i'll send the cash......i know it seems odd but this is really doing my head in and i don't want ice in the cage in winter. knocker
  16. pm colliejohn............ i'll have that pending answer to my pm
  17. thanks kay, cost is not important where my ferts are concerned, i just need a reliable place to buy from, i'll see the vet for the frontline even though i found places that sell mail order, i didn't know it was restricted, you learn something every day
  18. this may be a silly question but years ago i bred budgies and had to clip their "nails" regularly, budgies have a thin vein extending down the "nail" this had to be avoided as if cut it would bleed like a buggar, do ferrets have a similar thing or are they just normal ? if there is no vein, how short should i trim them ? i don't want to do them too short and interfere with their grip when working.........or should i leave them alone ?
  19. looking for the best place for ferretone and frontline flea treatments on the net, i'm a bit wary of some of the suppliers, any reccomendations please knocker
  20. anyone got a copy for sale ?
