  3. thanks all! they were taken in July though...
  4. They're still finding their feet, having been kenneled for best part of their lives I think just getting out and seeing different sights and sounds, bogs, streams, ponds, brambles etc is doing them the world of good.... Had a mooch tonight with Alun1960, Coco of here and my mate Mr Evans.. lots of dogs, 11 in total, just took my three pups as Tag and Milly bit under the weather... Clean Dogs... Doing a bit of work and getting there feet dirty, reed beds and brambles were the order of the day.... took them on an assault course as Coco likes to tell me everytime he comes down,
  5. He's worked with hounds before, always has been a bit of a spooky fecker, he does enjoy his work, I will keep taking him out, just strange that he's gone backwards, went out this afternoon, had a red one with him.... in the ground. no hounds about.... he won't be out this weekend that's for sure..
  6. Proper head, there aint much that would get past him... good going, well done that dog !!!
  7. Didn't do him any good that's for sure, he was kenneled over in Belfast with the bitch hounds but always a bit odd with them, when it came to feed time he just wouldn't eat with them around, anyway we split him from them and put him on his own, he was fine from then on, didn't quite click in my head that he was hound shy, just thought he was a spooky fecker.. Out with terriers and lurchers he's fine, just get's on with it, minute he sees a hound he's bolloxed.. just have to keep him for Sundays and mooching callouts, he's not afraid of the dark or pointy teeth, just big dumb Welshys eyeing him
  8. hi sj there quite a few terriers that come to mind being hound shy, well is it hound shy or inexperience.because i 've kennelled terriers in with the hounds and had no problems.it's the frenzy on the earth's that start's it off with the barking and people shouting. the terriers have overcome it, by being worked on they're own, away from hounds, once they start working they don't care about the hounds, but i've only experienced it in young dogs, hope it's not that russel mate The Russell couldn't give a stuff mate, it's my beddie Tag, he was kenneled with Hounds for 6 months over in Belfast s

  17. blue top ginger beers, dig em and get em on ebay plenty of collectors out there looking for the odd unusual one, best bottle I've had was 20p from a car boot sale, gilbertsons wedge in clear, 1001 quid on the bay.. find a blue one or a green one and book your holiday... there's a couple of sites on bottle digging worth having a gander at, see if you can recognise something that you dug.. I once dug a slipware plate piecrust edging, big thing it was but it was in half so I threw t back in the dig.. doing some research some time after I found it (similar one) in a millers book 2-3 gra
  18. this is the sire of the dog, pure bred bleu de gascogne back to a bedlington bitch this is the dam of the little bitch, pb bleur de gascogne back to a bedlington dog, apparently both were accidental matings I really don't know if I'm doing the right thing, I'm taking them on as he has no plans for them, ie they were accidental matings.. they are 6 months and 11 months, I'll run them with bedlingtons out 'bushing' and see what happens, see if their noses are any good if they can hold a line, all it's going to cost me is my time and maybe have a bit of fun if they do work..
  19. It is, why the  ... french bassett, bleu de gascogne bit of a strange one I know, they look handy hound types, seem full of it, young and untried... am I doing the right thing, coz I cannot find anyone that hunts them on tinternet, no harm in trying...
