  4. the 410 will kill as effeciently as a 12 or 20 if the man pulling the trigger is any good, theres no velocity difference and the shot patten is tighter than most other calibres, i used a 410 for pigeon shooting one season and it was simple if you were on them they folded if you wernt you wernt, there were very few pricked birds for the dogs to retrieve unlike other larger calibres

a pollitition with a pair of bollocks is even harder to find in this country mate, unless hes filling in his expenses claims
  7. yes mate you still have to submit permision letter, the renewal is identical to when you first apply apart from ticking a differnt box on the top of the form, just one letter will do, where it says on the form where to you intend to use the firearm put where ever i have legal authority to do so and on the permision letter rather that putting spercific calibres just put down bla bla bla for the purpose of vermin, fox, deer control or whatever with all firearms you have legal authority to own
  8. that would be a zero chance of a sgc or fac being issued and as for taking them to court who will take the case on apart from someone intent on relieving him of his cash the notes that come with the application forms clearly state that all convictions are to be put down on the form. so he doesnt have a legg to stand on
  9. its all supply and demand, at this time of year game is plentyfull whether it be rabbit, phesant or whotever so the price paid is low. as the season progresses and availability goes down the the price will reflect this trend. the only game i know that bucks this trend is venision that seems to be making a comeback with very good prices being paid

why carnt you get into it to rewire it? unscrew the reflector housing, drill out the pop rivit and the bulb holder comes out, solder the wires that go under the spring, pop the bottom of the handel out by pressing the 2 red bits on the side and then pop the switch out solder all the connection or replace the bullet connectors with scotchblocks, pop rivit the bulb holder back in and fannys your craddock,

what rain we have had here, has ran striaght of the ground its so hard, the morning dew it starting to soften up the top layer of soil now though. we could do with a few days of persistant fine stuff the pastures are very slippery when the dews on the ground due to the underneath being so hard.

will this badger cull ever happen?????? i think not, i believe nobody in this goverment has the bollocks or backbone to put their name to whot everybody who lives and works in the countryside knows is needed. people are seriously sick of waiting now its beyond a joke, Local to me 2 farms have gone possitve twice now and have had to put up with all the restrictions that goes wit being possitive. Both these farms are 100% sure that badgers are to blame, yes they get financially compensated but that doestnt cover the emotional cost of loseing stock and all the crap you have to put up with. it wou
  18. It's not all 4 x 4. Up here in the pennines there are many places you can't use one for fox control, and then of course my favorite kind of fox work is the ambush across a valley, or moor, after days of ons, working out the best place to be for the shot, taking into account the route the fox will come in, the wind speed and direction, the back stop etc. I love the adrenaline when the grouse start growling or the curlew start going mad at the imminent approach of the vixen into your killing ground. I love the fact the fox doesn't know the fear of its imminent death. It's just lights out.......
  19. around here its cut one day and ploughed in the next
  20. what bedding are you using, if theres scent on it, he will piss on it
  21. Trouble is then you need charging equipment, there goes another £150, add on a scope and mounts, £50 out as well, the £300 gun costs £500. engage brain before putting mouth into gear
  22. got a new brocock contour in 22 with scope and moderator addaptor £300
  23. I bet you don't call many in with that shite you downloaded on your mobile I agree, how many actually kill foxes for the right reasons?...i.e let's say causing damage to ones livestock.... tried it its shocking  tbh im as guilty as most in that preventative action is taken before a problem occurrs.... mind they did have all my chickens this year, last year, and the year before
  24. the problem is, controling foxs for game/stock protection is one thing, killing them for sport is another. a whole industry had grown up around shooting/lamping/digging foxs, all the latests callers lamps, batteries roof mounted remote control lamps, locators the list goes on. when things are killed for sport then there is a tendancy for for people to want large bags for the bragging rights, i shot,/my dog killed/i dug this many in one night/day. im sorry lads but its not whot its all about, well not to me anyway. i like to see foxs about the place especially the resident ones.they only need cont
