be hard to make it flip up due to the way it attaches and the shape of the edges you would have to extend the front like the old clulite i dont think aa flip up would hold its self up right any way the filtters are heavy for what they are if that makes any sence makes perfect sense. would be better if the manufacturers thought about it. 2 dogs on slips in one hand. lamp in the other, how the hell do they think your going to be able to remove a filter thats why i put the cord on so i can just flip if off and it hangs down under the lamp.

done the same thing with mine only driled on of the 3 lugs and attached the end of the cord to the hole on the top of the handel
