  4. I had one of those for years passed on by my mum. Replaced it over here, but never quite the same.....nothing worse than the water boiling over, what a mess! Guacamole with soft boiled egg, sardines & watercress on toast is worth a try ?
  5. It worked, but the lamb was way over cooked for my liking. I’m inconsolable with a bit of overcooked meat, much to my wife’s amusement ?.....so the answer is a bigger joint or much less time underground. The sweet potato & onion were nice & smokey, but they weren’t wrapped. Strangely enough a couple of potato’s were under done after 8 hours! So things weren’t particularly even down there & I forgot to unwrap the red pepper with all the excitement ? Would I do it again? Yes.....with some good company round for a bit of theatre & fun.....

  7. Not sure how true this is, but I heard Spain were already considering closing it’s doors to summer tourism. Which is fcuking mind boggling!

  11. Mate I didn’t even know that until after I’d eaten there. All the info was on that show. They specially selected each cow, it wasn’t any old milkers, still surprised me though.......you obviously think you are going to be eating prime beef cattle ?
  12. This place only uses 6-7 year old milking cows. It was the best steak I’ve ever had ?   13. Good question mate, this might not work....... I’ve just used some granite stones I had. I got a good fire going on them with plenty of wood at 7 this morning & pulled them out a few hours later. Hopefully they hold enough heat for what I need. I’ll dig it up tonight.

  18. Oh I’m doing it. Hole is dug, lamb is about to go into the marinade & I don’t drink in the mornings ? I
  19. I’m going to start a fire early tomorrow morning in a drum I’ve got with a bunch granite stones. Let that burn for a few hours, then put the stones in a small pit I’ve just dug today. Marinade the joint of lamb overnight, wrap up with foil, place on stones & backfill. Leave until the evening. I think I’ve got to put a damp cloth over the foiled meat before backfill?
