You're talking about 8-9oz bird mate, so pheasant & rabbit aren't on the menu, although it does happen, especially with first season young birds ;-)The Blackbird is the purists traditional quarry & very difficult to catch. In the uk you can get a quarry licence to fly Blackbirds & may be given a 50 bird limit, which is rarely met, unless the falconer has great set-ups for Blackbird flights.   8. I live in Flanders & in both areas I've lived there have always been Beauvoir's local & believe me you would think twice about walking into any of those property's. I'd say they are dog that's made me jump the most since living here! Haha.... ....Anyone fooled by that fluffy appearance will soon learn ;-)

It's the daily attention to detail that really counts mate & for that you need time......that's why it's only now I've been prepared to try a spar ;-) .....& then after all your best efforts, you need a large dose of luck to get safely through a season or two. I'm not selling it well, am I ? Haha.... I need a good challenge like this & involving the kids in the imprinting process will fun during the summer....;-)
  14. All the stuff in the first pics were done before they went on Tuesday. I had the roof delivered Tuesday afternoon & got it on that night after a lot of huffing & puffing! Since then I've just filled in the rest..... Yes I've had hawks before mate, Harris & Goshawks hawks, but I've just had a forced break of about 4 years.........life just got in the way...;-) The hawk will be kept on the left hand side on a large shelf about waist height or so, off the floor........the other side will be work tops, storage etc. This will be mainly night quarters & of course used when I'm
