  1. So you haven't looked into SACS?
  2. You will no doubt way up the odds matey and spend your money how you see fit, just saying you can get the same for half the money. And by the way, I don't really agree with your " any psycho" comment, I look on it more like they trust people to make the right choices and give them the freedom to do so......if you step over the line they come down on you like a ton of bricks. Anyway, it's all JMHO All the best matey I can see your reason for disagreeing but on a personal level, I have my reasons too, besides its not just the US as we know. Just on the subject of NRA. I'd like to see a wo
  3. I guess that's the idea in mind is to be NRA but I guess America is a totally different place, they let any psycho have a gun, no offense to any decent Americans on here who actually use them properly. I wanted to have the BASC membership just so I could show my permissions I am committed to do the job properly (how they see it by being covered) and show them I am covered if for any unfortunate event was to occur.
  4. I need to dream up a few courses like the BASC, charge people a shit load of money to teach them half baked theories about things I know nothing about and have not much pratical experience of. you want to learn anything, my advice would be, find a decent keeper or experienced hunting lad and ask them. you will learn more and better and it wont cost you a penny All the BASC are interested in is "running things" so that they can exploit the maximum amount of money out of it for the minimum amount of effort. Join the CA, NGO or SACS.....They are all useless but they just dont charge
  5. As long as that's right, I just don't want to find out I'm no longer covered if it ever boiled down to it. So what do you get as a member from this then? I know BASC offers courses ect
  6. Also, what I gather from the website, it seems there's still work to be done or been abandoned :-/ Anyone share some light on this?
  7. Looks like it only covers Scotland? :-/ "Scotland, with its different countryside, different legal system and different sporting culture from the rest of the UK did not fit conveniently into the "Home Counties" pattern. "
  8. Haha you've lost me there. I'm originally from scouseland so I've only heard a few Dawley/Telford phrases during my brief stay What sort of stuff do you get up to here, then?
  9. Haha it's generally the north west way of saying no really keep trying and once you get your BASC membership, it shows your not like every other lad in the north with a gun lol To me, generally speaking I think it shows them you know what you're doing and if there was any trouble, you won't be making a claim from the land owner. They're pretty happy knowing you have that but don't be surprised for the first few times they follow you like a shadow, making sure you do everything right. Keep us updated with any news Grae
  10. You've had this personally?
  11. Went about a decade ago as a family holiday, I remember the fireworks at the end my sister (only young) slept right through it Absolutely brilliant show, recommended to anyone and a great place for it. I love Scotland

  14. I didn't think his rifle was that quiet, that's incredible XD
  15. Well done, enjoying the R10? I'm considering one in .22.
  16. Damn Mac, you're getting good at this. Save some for the rest of us Still out clearing your head mate?
  17. like to pass me your membership number? https://www.basc.org.uk/en/join/member-get-a-member-2013.cfm I'm looking to join anyway but what if we won a Browning each? First one to it, I don't think I can refer more than one member.
  18. Considering there's quite a few farms around Chester, I know of. There should be a good chance of just calling up and asking. There's also a permission form posted on the forum, may have to look for the pinned posts but could come in handy. Also, if you haven't already, look into a BASC membership, quite a lot of land owners like this for insurance reasons but this benefits you also + the site is really useful for other bits too. Hope you find something
  19. I guess at the time you thought more about putting it elsewhere than letting it seep everywhere
