Advice On The Law
Daz39 replied to the lamping ferreter's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Some days it is SOOOOOOOOOO worth logging on here and having a read. I right enjoyed that, thanks chaps. I've just seen a deer over the park, so I'm going to get a straw and some paper and see if I can take it down with a spitwad. -
Next time mate, Sean & his tricks, wait till he starts shooting rabbits you are aiming at.... :censored:

You need to put pics up, how old is it, what condition is it? HW100 are about £800 new, the mags (you get 2) are £26 each, the moderator comes with the rifle, slings are £15 the bag £25. So you are looking at £865 gear if new. It is it A1 and under 12 months old, you can probably as at least £700. If it is 3 year old and bashed...£500 haha. Have a look on gunstar and see what others are looking for.

haha Love it!
-
Not on my perm! You can shoot naked at yours all you like!!
-
VM, I didn't like them, but having looked at Mac set up, I couldn't get in with that. Being able to scan the field quick and having a longer view range puts the TV in first place for me. That and the new colour version is great. I'm gonna make a mini ariel and see if I can get the footy.

Wouldn't look at me in the eye Sean. I dumped 5 fat rabbits at his feet and he got up and walked off haha. I could hear him grumbling from the other side of the field. LOL good luck with little hunter.
-
haha, you chase the bunnies, I'll let them come to me! You know my lot don't like lamps!!
-
Having said that, the Viper can spot pout to 200 yrds easy, and I only shoot out to 60...... but still, its a great price for a great bit of kit.
-
£400 for the WOLF? damn, the Viper cost £450..... the Wolf is normally £650 right? A bargain there mate, boys, grab it!!!

I had 2 t-shirts, 2 jumpers, a cycling top, coat, cycling pants, camo pants, hat & gloves....I couldn't move very well but I was warm until 2am haha!

Went back out with Mac and the NV rigs last night, met up at 9:30 and after kitting up I walked onto the field to scope up. As I did, I quickly scanned the corner of the field and spotted 4 rabbits about 40 yrd off. I knelt down and fired one off from the hip (ooh err). I hit the rabbit just below the eye an it rolled over. I paced 44 yrds and picked up the first one. I quickly scoped up and as I was doing so Mac pulled up. After discussing where we were going to lay up, we headed off up the hill. On the brow we scanned the other side of the hill and spotted a good 10 or so rabbits in fro

Jason, one extra point. Do one of two things. 1) tell the cops you are going to finish about 2 hours after you think you will stop. Or 2) tell the cops YOU will call THEM to close the log. The number of times I had the cops call me bang on the time I said I was going to pack up. Always seemed to be when I had a rabbit in my scope too!!! That or have water ship down theme tune as your ring tone.

Dave, the police round here actually send out a bulletin saying "shooting going on in this location" so normally we never get bother. I had a bit last year but nothing serious and ended up the copper having a few shots with my gun! Last night the fella just saw Mac and I, boots open on the cars, guns on the deck, both in came and thought his night was about to be made haha.
-
Stick with it tickler, I'm battling with mine but getting better each night. It's like starting shooting all over again!
-
Last week I took a pregnant doe, hate that, but she had 5 inside, so I expect the little ones will be 2-3 weeks away round mine too.

Good night last night. Mac did turn up at 9:30, but at the WRONG part of the perm! He'd told me one spot, so I went and waited for him....must be his age. It was a mixed night rabbit wise. After zeroing, I lay up perpendicular again....it's a skill I have....I spotted a rabbit off to my left 30-35 yrds, so I moved the 100 & Viper round took a clean head shot, it knocked the rabbit off its feet, rolled over, did a couple of kicks then lay still. I turned the NV off and got up to go get it. I headed where I thought I had seen it, but could I find it? could I shite. The grass isn't even 1

He's ALWAYS banging on asking for a go.....
-
Unless they are silver with big numbers written on them!! Mine are more matt grey, and it rains so much up here the numbers wash off.
-
HAHAHA, I was looking at the cut outs and thinking exactly the same!!! Old Billy Barn Door there! One night it'll click and he'll have a tank full.
-
I paid £260 for my HW97S in good nick. No bag or sling mind! Just as a marker. It's just a toy to go with my HW100.
-
That is Matt's way of getting rabbits! Run em over, or better, pick em up after someone else runs em over!
-
Mac's got the tank, but he doesn't want to get it mucky!
-
Nice, like it. Get em sorted Mac

ah right, my error, either way - Me 1 him 0 nowt like a bit of ribbing, he outshot me last trip out.
