Gents sorry, will ping you both this week. Are you free Tuesday?
-
Are you using the Bisleys I left in the bag??
-
Jeeze dude, that looks spot on! Thanks for sorting it. Can't wait to have a plink tomorrow !!!
-
David, this was two of my perms, if I have a little more notice next time you are up I'll get you on.

Done, under "rusty" cheers Mac

yeah he had his 100, I like the look of it. He misses a lot less with it too! The benefit of not getting out too much, the rabbits repopulate! £25, shipping is free....shoe leather

Me, not the gun. 8 weeks of graft and flying to the states and back (where I had something of a plink with a few handguns off a copper mate and a nice 300 winmag hunting rifle shooting 185gr) I have had calls from both my work perms saying, "can you pop back in". One of the perms is a very tight time slot due to it being a working factory, so I headed off to the other perm last night after dropping a line to the awld lad. I was up at the perm with no sign of Mac, so had a look in the back field. A good 15-20 young rabbits were around but legged it before I could get near (it was still

David, Mac. I just rolled in from Glasgow after something of a drunken night. I won't make it out tonight but have a bloody good time. Good luck on the rabbits.
-
All being well mate, depending on hangover from the wedding in Glasgow, plus weather, I'm assuming it's my place Sat night? Are you here Fri/Sat or Fri/Sat/Sun? Having said that, I'm away to Poland 4am Monday morning.
-
Got back Sunday mate and go again on Monday !! Still planing to catch up this weekend but I'm in Glasgow Friday.
-
Good stuff fella. Very tidy.

all meat is given to the local tribes for free, the skins are usually shipped to taxidermists, so more of a trophy shot animal is used than many other forms of hunting, what is killing for killings sake?? I had read the carcass was left to rot in the sun. The guy took the pelt and head. ??? Killing for killings sake? Killing something that has no need to be killed. You (not you specifically) can't call people on here hypocrites, shooting rabbits in a country that is BY LAW a rabbit clearance zone is hardly the same as someone shooting a tagged pride leader, a protected animal. First rifle I ever shot, as a 10 year old in me mates back yard!

Simple for me, I don't agree with hunting for trophies. Hunt to eat, hunt to clear vermin, hunt to protect others - hunting for nothing other than bragging rights? Doesn't sit easy. Then I was always taught that everything I kill should be put into the food chain. Killing for killings sake? Nope. Just my humble opinion.

If you can judge distances well, and know your mil dots, both are as accurate. Mac shoots .22 I shoot .177 and when we are out, we are always within 1-2 rabbits score of each other. He has way more experience so sticks with .22, as a relative newbie, I find .177 more forgiving because of the flatter trajectory. But, I've taken 2-300 rabbits the last 2 years so I know .177 is accurate and can take down rabbits out to 60 yrds with ease.

nice bag VM

As long as Mac wasn't on morrland or open land, or enlcose land over 25 acres per section....??? I'm just sticking to rabbits (like I have any choice on my perm haha).

Actually I've been looking. I was told the season for Hare was 1st Aug to end Feb - but looking on the Country Alliance website. That is for Mountain hare in Scotland only. I don't see ANY restrictions for brown hare in the UK???? Species England & Wales Scotland Northern Ireland Isle of Man Brown Hare Jan 1 – Dec 31 moorland & unenclosed land is subject to a close season (see below) Open season Oct 1 – Jan 31 Aug 12 – Jan 31* Brown or common hare Oct 1 – Jan 31 Mountain Hare Open season Aug 1

Mac/Lads, if you are taking the hares down, let me know, I'll PM the butchers name/number. Nice shooting you lot.
