    Thanks for the loan Jimmy, as always, Mac to the rescue. I'll get a couple of snaps tonight and stick them on, if I remember how.     Look at this, out twice in the same week....mind our lass is back tonight so I'll be chained to the kitchen sink again as of tomorrow. Met in the usual spot but a little earlier on Sat. As Mac said, we both took our normal routes to the far right corner of the field. I had seen nothing and Mac said he had scared a couple off. So we hopped into the new paddock perm, Mac facing N-S covering the top half and me E-W looking at the bottom half. Nothing doing at all, after 30 mins I got up and walked to a different spot, I saw a rabbit running into some nettles, so I lay up 35 yrds out and waite

    Well to be honest, last time out I dropped 6 and Sean and Mac between em could only manage 5 haha. They just hold me back these days lol. Seriously, it's been ace and I'm not vanishing. Just re-prioritising for a few years. Those with kids know, if you lad wants to spend time with you, TAKE IT. My daughter is 17 and wants feckall to do with me, so while the little one still thinks I'm not an arsehole, and wants to spend time with me, he gets all the spare hours I have. And you know, bills need paying. But I have learned loads and it means a lot to be able to give a bit back to t

    No troubles lads, just more work, heavy travel and my lads more demanding on my time for his basketball. I'll be one of those that come back in 10 years moaning about the new guns and how the vintage HW100 were the best thing ever haha. The days of crawling in at 3 am and catching a nap on the sofa the next day are gone. I'm managing a team of 12 now so need to be on form...no kipping in the office which is so unfair haha.

    Ah mate, I've a new job which has me all over the bloody world, my lad has started playing basket ball which take up 3 days a week. So if I'm not in the U.S. Or Poland or Singapore, I'm on. A basketball court or just fecked! I just don't have the love of the hunt anymore, not like you see in Sean and Mac. I may come back to it. But life is too busy right now. It's been a blast and it won't be the last time I have a gun, but enough for the mo!

    Cheers Mac, I've been hanging on for ages and thinking about it. Last night just proved a point for me. I enjoyed the banter more than the shooting. To top it off, after over an hour cleaning up last night, the butcher didn't take the rabbits, he's just bought a shit load from a supplier in Yorkshire, all cut up and packaged..... tipped me owa the edge that mind. I still want a walk around that county you and Sean have haha.

    ...Come to those who wait? .........must come to an end? After the screw up on Sunday, I managed to get Sean and Mac out on 2 of my perms last night. We were up at the farm first, off in different fields after a couple of hours we came back to the cars, Mac with 1, Sean with 2 and me with 3 (2.5 as one was little, only saw an eye through the grass or I wouldn't have shot it). I've not been to the perm all winter and there was a good 40+ rabbits over the 4 fields. We moved over the road to the big L shaped field, this has just been seeded last week, so nothing but dirt, there was a good

    Tuesday night for me daz is the only time i can get mate work through the day but may still be able to make it before dark and dont worry it was not your fault mate just a mix up over the work permits thats all atvbmac :thumbs: Can or can't???
