    Last year I had a similar episode. I was lampung on a big permission I have. Recently a small part had been let to a guy for a small holding. And thus cordoned off with electric fence. On this particular night I'd seen some lights messing around on this small holding and shone my lamp on the edge of the boundary in the small holding. The lights got into a vehicle and headed to me a speed. When the vehicle got to me a man got out very irate asking me what I was doing. I told him lamping and he burst in to a torrent of abuse.     Commercial ammo is more powerful as the military aren't allowed expanding ammo due to the Geneva Convention. Military bullets try to deliver more energy by tumbling. Commercial ammo induces hydrostatic shocking trhough expansion / fragmentation. Or to give you a more visual explanation. A soldier shot through the arm / leg often has a wound that can be bandaged (that doesn't mean its not serious). However, the same shot using commercial ammo would most probably sever all arteris veins. muscles, bone and blow the arm / leg clean off the body (depending on the calibre of course - but you wou

    Iv seen a cow get shot with 5.56 (.223) in Helmand and it dropped (cross fire before you all get jumpy) However I wouldn't like to say for commercial ammo.

    My FAO told me that at any time I feel like I shouldn't have ownership to ring him and let him know. (I.e. Coming back from the sand box) The process for getting them back was a quick email and he'd come visit me. The fact you addressed your problems openly is a big plus factor for responsible ownership.

    I have seen a few asking for either a mentor OR the DSC1 course. Have you done that by any chance ? Or do you have somepast experience etc ? If not you may just be very lucky. :-) I'm a serving infantry soldier, but I don't know if that comes into consideration. Or just my attitude towards firearms and the police. Who knows. Iv not done DSC my .270 is purely for hog hunting

    I don't understand the need for a mentor? Or is that a force thing? Iv just put a variation in for a .270 and nothing had been mentioned about a mentor. Iv held my FAC for little of 12 months

    Wilts Rod & Gun had my last off me, cracking gun but the barrel was 16", I wanted it a bit longer so got the new one in the pic, and did a bit of work on it. As it happens my last loved CCI 40g Maxi Mag HP V, this one doesn't, and they are both CZ Americans. If you want some ammo I still have a sealed box of 500 of those available at a good price. Yeah buddy when I get back in England I'll take you up on that
