  1. I think I paid 250 in the end. Well worth the money in my eyes, fits much better and its so much more comfortable than the standard stock. I think I saw a variety of rifles when I was browsing through his gallery so it's worth getting hold of him. To be honest I can't see why he couldnt make a stock for most rifles if he had the dimensions of the action. Yeh not far at all, just over the bridge! ATB That bridge is the Bain of my life. I live directly under it. Where did you get the stock again
  2. no such thing as OTT, if it works stick with it
  3. Yeah they are ok....just way way too heavy. Not sure about the .177 ones. Try also RWS Superfeild
  4. I used to use the religiously in my .22 MK4. But then with the FAC upgrade can a pellet change
  5. yeah alot of people arent getting on with JSB's. Are you cleaning and oiling them? try defient OGIVE too, keep the barrel clean and you will be very very surprised at how accurate it is
  6. great shooting, and a cracking choice of rifle!!
  7. iv done this on the Kajaki dam.....bit of shit bread wait till they come up then plonk a grenade in.
  8. In reality none of us can comment until its here really. Lets play it out and see what comes good and what doesn't
  9. I kind of agree, but remember some people have to start some where. I'm a big fan of .17 HMR, and at close range its been know to take out foxes stone dead. The only problem i see with .17 Hornet is its still a bit new, and id like to see another gun house build a rifle for it.
  10. So the ammo will be WInchester then. Must admit I can't really see the logic in that for Hornady, they sell rounds either way and considering its harder to get a grant for a centrefire than a rimfire, and given the ammo costs, I expect they would sell far more rimfire in .17 WSM than they'd ever sell .17 Hornet. Maybe its just not established enough yet. I know in the US from searches that there are long waiting lists and shortages of Savage B-Mag rifles at many dealers despite some reported alleged issues with cycling and also a few comments about the rifle allegedly being plasticky.
  11. And I do have a vast millitary experience and still serving
  12. My biggest problem is I'm not around for long periods of time and when I get back people have just moved on and into my seat. My experience hunting wise is about 5 years, started with air rifles shooting rabbits, moving up to foxes.
  13. I asked the Winchester Rep about it today at the game fayre. He said you will see the round and rifle end of 2014 early 2015 Hornady have commented too. They will not follow suite and continue promoting .17 Hornet
  14. Wanting to get into fox shooting, looking for a permission in the wiltshire area. Extremely vast exerpience with firearms. Will pay for the right one
  15. Found it http://www.gunstar.co.uk/Air-Rifles/Daystate-AIR-RANGER-FAC-gun-for-sale-gs151668.aspx He might budge on the price But that's a bloody bargain
  16. Hi Craig, I've seen a few daystate videos (Team Wild?) that highly honor them and they look like the dogs danglers i think cash is my main concern as for how often i hunt, i don't think would justify the price im only starting off really so i still have much to learn and the ladder of weapons to climb up, thank you for you help. Grae Second hand market is good, once you buy FAC you'll find it hard to shift at a value. There are some reasonable priced 80lb .25 rifles around you just got to look. I'm sure there was one on gunstar
  17. My first ever Precharged rifle HW 100 KT , using RWS Superfield in .22
  18. i always used RWS Super field (not dome) in my HW100KT. and the results were awesome. Give the superfields a try too.....but in general RWS and HW's go hand in hand Where did you get your tripod from?
  19. Hi mate, Iv played with a Daystate Air Ranger Extreme, which is a 80fpe in .25 and its awesome. The .25 round at 80fpe flies fairly flat and its devastating at range. If your going to go for a .25 in FAC Daystate 80fpe is the way forward. If your going to stick to 12fpe then a .22 is good enough. I would say up to 40fpe a .22 is the way forward.
  20. No mate, i know you dont sell crud......this rifle is cracking. Mate id buy it now. I just dont have the permision to use it for foxes. If any one is looking at this rifle, trust me this guys kit is in spot on condition. worth a travel if your thinking about it.
