if there is nothing wrong then you know for sure that its dominance and can deal with it as i said if its dominance deal with it it can be stoped the dog just has to know its place. dogs dont hang onto the past the way we do they just live for the moment so most dogs except those that have sufferd can be retrained easily. again this is not ment to offend but more often than not its the family that have to change the way they treat the dog to make it aware that its not top dog as humans we like to think of them as our friends but at the endof the day they are pack animmals if y

But as dog breeders apply scientific precision to their age-old art, they find that the quest for genetic perfection comes with unforeseen consequences. And with DNA tests on the way for humans, the lessons of intervening in the nature of dogs may ultimately bear as much on us as on our species' best friends. thats what happens when you f**k with mother nature one step away from cloning

in that case give her somewhere the kids dont go for peace and quiet and every time she dose it ignore her and remove her from the room silently any voice good or bad is attention and it will incourage more of the same excluding her from the pack is what the alpha dog will do in the wild

please dont take offence to this as im sure your dogs mean the world to you have you had her back cheeked some times a dog can be in pain with out any visable signs and i am sure you realise that although tough our lurchers etc turn very tight turns at incredable speed it is so eays to pull mussles and put things out ask any human who has been to a chiropractor (spelling) and they will tell you the diffrence it made to places they didnt know they had a problem im saying this because it sounds like another dominance thing except the crabbiness to things she brushes up against which to me

hi this might not be relevent but dose the pup get liffted up higher than the dog very often ? dose this happen when you put her back down? im asking because if you watch two male dog together for the first time one will normally stand taller than the other holding its head over the back of the other this in dog terms is the dog displaying dominance it can be so subtle that the human eye dose not see it but its like having a slaging match on here to the dog. i have a friends who has a jrt and a mungrel thing every time the jrt is lifted higer that the other dog it tries to hump it as soon a

who feeds the dog and exercises it if its u get your wife doing it the dog needs to know its place in the pack sounds like its challanging your wife for top of the pack in the wild its the adult dogs that hunt for food in the home dogs keep a lot of there puppy instinct ie # licking your face - trying to incourage you to regurgate food etc make sure that if the dog is around at your meal time that it sees your wife eat first and that it is feed by her when you have all finished TOP DOGS eat first then in decending order of rank you should have no problems when the dog realises its at

Is there an instruction book for making my own nets?
ferret15 replied to a topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
as a child we used to make haynets for the horses out of bailer twine its never occurd to me that the nets i use for rabbiting are made the same way as in the link above we used to do it freehand no messures or neadles all we did was tie some string in a circle then the rest was the same dose any one know of any reason not to use bailer twine for this as i have been wondering what to do with all mine just had another thought is there any reason you couldnt buy cheep haylege nets £2 and remove bottom ring add a second draw string and hay presto !! this might be a stupid idea judt p -
i have put full males and castrated males together in the past and kits with both parents with no problems i start with two runs side by side almost touching so they can get to know each other over the fence so to speak. then after a few days move them so close together that they can touch noses if there gonna fight its normaly now and then you know that you cant put them together if they are happy like this then you should be able to put them together BUT THERE IS STILL A BIG RISK
