I have one of they plastic water drum it will be about 20 gallon and have put wheels on the side of it ...every thing goes in it deeks flapers bouncers cradles magnet batteries and nets on top with the jack pike hide poles in there bag ....g one are the days when you went out with 6 plastic half shells

Ive been ripped of by vets too many times had dog bleeding to death in a waiting room while they waited for there £100 upfront. Ive been told stories of them skimping on drugs they put dogs down with and the dogs are waking up in plastic bags. Ive had them do bad stitching jobs leaving stuff in wounds and when my mate took a dog the had been spiked by a muntie they tried telling him the dog had been hit by a car and would need this and that. Why anyone would line a bad vets pockets i have no idea. As gaz said a goodun is worth there wieght in gold but its finding a goodun thats the problem

SS does a webbing slip about 5 foot long with a loop at each end for a couple of quid ...I usually order about 20 at the start of the season as I keep loosing them and give some away to lads ...I have used the black dog ones that is a leather loop with a length of leather cord

I don't work my dogs with leather any more ...I m certainly not a newbie to field sports I was born into this way of life now im forty although all that know me will agree I don't look It.......... all I am say ing is there is a chance leather will wear out and give but there is no chance of that happening with SS gear made with the modern material s just like most golf drivers are not made out of wood any more its called progress

wood was also made to make boats for thousands of years but you don't see much wooden boats being made these days ....I have worn mendle boots for about 10 years and I get only 1 season out of them so believe it or not leather does rot wear and crack ....how do you know my dog wore a collar for 10 years ..the dog in question is only 7 and after 2 seasons the leather loop holding the D ring that you put the slip through gave ...this will never happen with ss collars ...you and BAW can believe what you want .....Maybe your mates have had leather couples for 20 years but then again maybe they sit

Leather rots and if you have a strong dog that pulls and your out in all weathers its just a matter of time before it gives its happened to me before ....the SS collars will never give and they don't need to be treated with anything ...the lampin collars with the reflectors on them are a good bit of kit ....leather terrier couples don't last more than a few seasons and they need to be solid for obvious reasons ....One the black dog stand was always up beside the river at scone I noticed also he wasnt there this year

I use Jims leather collars on my lurchers when there just out and about and in there kennel but when they are grafting its strong stuff collars all the time.

Where in Scotland are you going ?...if your in the fields 36g 3 or 4 buffallos is plenty and a 32 g 5 for ducks will do the job ....agree with remi tighten your choke if need be

well if you know the difference between a crow rook and Jackdaw why didnt you spot them in the picture then feckin know all. His post is factually correct because some of those birds are crows.........maybe he should have entitled it "a morning on the crows, rooks and jackdaws" but it doesnt quite have the same ring to it does it ? No need to get shirty sweet cheeks so tell me how you can tell there are crows in the pic ....
