Out this morning not ideal the wind died off as daylight came in

try and find out who the goose guide is ...theres only one decent one the rest are cowboys ....give him my number and tell him to give me a shout get him out for a cast or a stalk when hes up next ....theres not much geese in yet but 2 geese 6 flights ...ive got a fair idea who his guide will be ALL THE GEAR BUT NO IDEA

The pinks are a week or so late this year ...there have been a small skene about last week but there here in numbers now with that big storms in the NW .... was out lampin till 2.30 this morning had 2 hours kip then out on the mud for 5 a few canadas going about and plenty of wigeon .....saw an otter and a kingfisher landed right next to me which made up for the lack of action ......got home and let the hounds out and there hundreds of pinks landing in the field next to my house ...typical ....that should be them dropping in in there thousands this week

Saw the first the pinks today about 100 so just another 69900 to go . the weeman out on sat night

Aye your right I thought it was a salmon when I got it but took a quik pic and then got it back in the water ...it wasnt till I looked at the pic and seen the squre tail I thought it was a seas trout ...but your right when you look closer the mouth doesnt run behind the eye ...theres a bit of a wrist on the tail and not much spots below the lateral line ...still some fight on the wee rod . It has to be a lack of feeding ...I saw a shoal of grilse a few month ago you would of thought were 1-2lb sea trout

Fishing has been as poor as ive ever seen it up here due to lack of rain and high river temp ...plenty of fish at sea and we are starting to see a few now the nets are off ...headed out tonight with my young lad for a craic at a few finnock ....spotted a few fish in a pool and ended up with 2 grilse and a 6-7lb sea troot what a fight on a #4... 7 footer all returned

Went out tonight conditions weren't ideal not a drop of wind but fuk watching coronation street ....Ive got a young terrier that is a natural retriever and i've done a sma;ll bit of training with him so he tagged along onto the mud with me and the lab .....got 1/2 a dozen deeks set out on the motherline and got tucked into a reed bed A pair of wigeon came over and I dropped one and missed the other and sent the weedog out into the water for it was brought back to hand but after that he became a pain in the arse ...terriers arent designed to sit still .

thanks anyone got a source local to Sheffiled/barnsley ? I have been dealing with them for years and can fill my freezers with 28 boxes of 20 x 450grms of various raw meats good value and decent quality raw dog meat

Big westerlies and low tide meant for near perfect conditions but it was unseasonaly warm up here yesterday so I was sweating like a 12 year old on jim'll fixit walking out to the mud with all the gear ..we managed 4 canadas and a pair of shovelers in the morning and another 4 canadas at night ...decoying on wed ...Once the first North wind starts we should start seeing the first of the pinks around here probably next week
