Wallin put on a show people did not think possible as he was labeled a bum by everyone despite most never ever seeing him fight, he took his chance and with the recent passing of his father iirc he put in a performance that has announced him to the Heavyweight scene and he will get more big fights because of it. Wallin did a better job than what Wilder did in fighting Fury and like most have been saying for a long time, Wilder would not be where he is now without his power. That said the cuts did change things for Fury who had to adapt and change his normal style to deal with it. Wallin maybe w

Ive just sent you a pm ?

That would be spot on I started going up in 93. Where has the time gone ?

Was that not the litter that got hit with parvo ? Im sure he lost a full litter then a later litter survived the parvo.I remember some of them out of that litter and they didnt make anything. He did cut back a lot of his dogs as he would also travel about in his vardo and went to a lot of the fairs also. He whittled down to two 7/8 lurchers two Deerhounds ( bitch got shot by a toff) one greyhound and two Irish terriers.Memorys a bit hazy but its almost 30 year ago now. Lol

That White dog is Chalky, he was 7/8G 1/8 D and was out of Rebel what all his 7/8 stuff was out of. They where whelped early 80s iirc.Im Offshore at moment but will post a few pics when I get home.
-
No mate tbh they looked like 3/4 breds but heavier set, some where smooth coated but most had a rough coat on them. He bred the 7/8 stuff to pure breds when the 7/8 where getting up in age and they where a nice stamp of dog and knew there job. The pure bitch was bred by AW and was a cracking animal and the dog was from a breeder in Scotland iirc.
-
He ran the 7/8 G 1/8 D mainly but he had various xs of them as well which he bred back to his 7/8 stuff later on when the 7/8 stuff was getting up in age . Ive sent you a pm .

He’s not been mentioned till now cos this is a Platts thread.Ive been going up there since early 90s, quite a few others on here used to go up as well. Lads from all over the country used to go up there to run there dogs. Tom’s not been in good health for a few years now, he got rid of the last of his dogs a month or two back (not out of his stuff anyway) .

And the World stood by and let it happen ! If Zimbabwe had been an Oil rich state Mugabes reign would have been a lot shorter imo.

Joshua has no inside game and Ruiz fully exploited this flaw in the first fight. What makes this rematch so interesting is to see what changes Joshua has made to deal with Ruiz this time around. A ref like Quartarone who was in charge of the Parker fight would be a help as he broke them every time and didnt allow any inside fighting during that fight. I agree if Joshua tries to blast out Ruiz he will come unstuck again.
-
That looks class . ?

Ray In the first fight Joshua just never had an answer for Ruiz and his relentlessness imo. I honestly think that Ruiz is all wrong for Joshua so it will be interesting to see how Joshua goes about things differently in the rematch. Hopefully we will have a winner without any controversy and the winner from this fight will go on to fight the winner from the Wilder v Fury fight. I think that the Ruiz v Joshua rematch will be the biggest fight for years with a lot of World wide interest and probably only topped when the winners from both rematches fight each other. The fights are there now to ma

Ive been watching all the usual crap on social media about this rematch etc Ray and did notice that Joshua has dropped a lot of weight which is a good thing imo but I'm getting the impression that he is not interested in boxing anymore. I may be wrong but Lewis had mentioned that he needs to get it right mentally if he still wants to compete as a boxer after his defeat to Ruiz and I'm not even sure that Joshua does want to compete, time will tell and I may be reading it wrong but it just seems from the few clips I've seen that his mind is elsewhere and I don't think it's him just trying to bloc

Cant remember the last time I seen Dandelion and Burdock pop, mind you I didnt like it anyway . Lol

Top Rank boss Arum stated on Saturday that the Wilder v Fury fight is signed for 22nd February and the fight is happening, Fury wont be stepping aside. Its mentioned in an article on bn24 .

Far too many fighters are manipulating the 24 hour pre weigh in for a fight now, basically they are just weight bullys Canelo and Spence being prime examples.Canelo and a few others even refuse to be weighed in on fight night so nobody knows there true weight, all the fans know is the weight from the day before. Make the weigh in at 12 mid day on the day of the fight and then its a level playing field for all fighters. Its a lot easier for the “big” fighters to manipulate the 24 hour pre weigh in due to there wealth so nutritionists, dieticians and even chemists are employed, these “luxurys” not

I thought Loma had done enough for the win also.

Its been mentioned on a few forums but it seems to me Wilder would rather fight the Ruiz v Joshua winner before facing Fury again. Wilder is saying Fury is scared but Wilder will not risk it against Fury when he can fight the winner of the other rematch for the undisputed title. If Ruiz beats Joshua again I can see them trying to freeze Fury out. Haymon with his fighters with all the belts is not s good thing imo.
-
Everything was against him in that fight. If he had won that fight hed have had the record for winning a World title in the least number of fights , he won a belt in his next fight so equalled the record and is tied now with the Thai fighter who also won a World title in his third fight.
-
If it was not signed up surely he would not need to ask Fury to step aside ?
-
The rematch is signed up for February 22nd hence why Wilder is wanting him to step aside. If it was not signed up he would just go straight for the Ruiz v Joshua winner and would not need to ask Fury to step aside. Wilder however has not got a date or signed up yet for the Ortiz rematch thats allegedly taking place in November .
-
Fury offered to face Joshua in his first comeback fight but Hearn refused, Hearn wanted Fury to fight his other marquee fighters first for a couple of years then get the Joshua fight so Fury signed with Warren as he wanted to be straight back in the mix. Fury then stepped in at the first opportunity to fight Wilder when a fight between Joshua and Wilder could not be made.Fury has a harder fight than Joshua in February with the Wilder rematch. Wilder has so many flaws but is very athletic, has a good engine and dangerous for every minute of every round due to his power. Thats if the rematch doe

I will say one thing for Hughie he can certainly take a shot. But young age or not he will only ever be British/Euro level . Dont get me wrong there are still some good fights for him to be had at this level and also decent money but thats his ceiling imo .

I seen a 3/4 one run up Caithness quite a bit early 90s, smooth coated brindle dog with a huge head, it was an honest enough dog but it was ran with a AW bred Deerhound bitch and that was a cracking animal. The other Deerhound xs it was run with where also better dogs tbh.
-
I wouldnt say he was going to jack but Edwards was done, the last body shot was very late but it got him a NC so he kept his belt, be interesting to see how he goes about the rematch/if he takes it or moves up.
