  1. i fell in love with that women at a young age. Me too... psst...Bosun....i'll raise ya Frances De La Tour
  2. Well you've flat out lost me, I was just evaluating your idea of a reasonable level of fitness. I do that because I'm sorta interested in it, so tend to take notice of folks opinions. f**k it, forget I spoke. 'i was just evaluatin your idea of a reasonable level of fitness'...a reasonable level of fitness for someone who's set their stall out to get into an exclusive club, did i mention 'if you know it's on the menu'. If your sorta of intrested Born Hunter then sooner or later you'll clock that the devil is in the details....the 8min30sec routine with some dynamics aint on the squaddie
  3. The poster of those expected results did not mention an average human....you did. But I'm right in what I have inferred from your post? So, you believe the average squaddie possesses anything more genetically than the average human? Which was my point. I'm not looking for an argument mate, I'm sure you know more than I do about fitness. Just discussion. Your points null and void to me r kid, the poster said it was exclusive club...i look to evaluate what folk are upto whenever they mention exclusive clubs (i've got one me own) some r doable and some are outrageous, me o

  5. You missed the mercurial Roy Kinnear Stabba and the subtitles of this fella.. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0257583/
  6. '100pressups....100situps and a 1.5mile run in under 8min 30seconds' Thats ^ a good rate....not outrageous if you know it's on the menu but a good rate all the same, need to think about disciplines with cardiodynamics combined (smooth flow). Prefer 5 x1 minute press-ups (30 sec's down/30 sec's up-cont loop-no margin for cheats), the chatalots give that one a miss and the common denominator with the very few kids that do it on thier virgin attempt is they seem to be all able to lift thier own body weight (CJ) single handedly Bulb of beetroot hr before a run, ball o wool, the caffeine's
  7. Run/skip on the spot at home, balls of your feet, start off with running in conjuction with the duration of the adverts on tv.Day-on, day-off,day-on...
  8. Beast got a gud clapping-off from the WH supporters when subbed-off, nice touch...a bit like the one they pulled in 87 getting on the pitch and singing 'loyal supporters' to us after we turned up knowing we were already relegated (much to the bemusment of the odd lot). T made doubly sure a little mob of em boozing in c's gaff were well looked after, a good booze into the early hrs was had by all.
  9. Time for a singsong anyone.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdvqss4S_-I
  10. yeh bully down to earth lad true, just thought gnash watching best that he did all his great things in a slower game of football, than it is today. But you prob right with speed+agilty on the ball, he be just as good with the faster game of today ,! well our kid swears he would lol Best was a little different to some of the aforementioned players in that he had two great attributes besides the one's he shown, he was a very good tackler and he had good strength by dint of his superb balance, seen him do his stood still inviting two opponents to pinch the ball off him many times, his versi
  11. Do it regular on my race bike. I'm only over the hill from there. I'll be about on the day they race up it as the place where I work are heavily involved If i lived closer i'd do it everyday Crag, love it, only found it by chance, i've usually tanned it from M/c into holmefirth and not drove up to cardio it...i was stood outside Compo's chippy and two lycra herberts asked me was i going up on that olde thing (steel frame), me and my oppo stepped in behind em not knowing where it led...hairy down the other side with a cross wind out. Usually look to get to Dovestones a sprint out that l
  12. Got chatting to an olde boy in coffee shop abroad a few yrs ago, he was tickled with me dialect, next news we're in his drum looking at his match worn football shirt collection (kin hell), me eyes were struggling when he shouted me over, he had Bells match worn from the game they played v independiente (sp?) whilst english champions. Bell had swapped it at the final whistle with an opponent and the opponent was the olde fella in the coffee shop (Sebastion Verons father), he had me at a bit of a disadvantage....3hrs later i walked out with it. Nice fella. Had a lovely trait of not bothering
  13. The most memorable moment in my mind Leeds v Liverpool euro cup semi played mid week afternoon Y.I.S Leeview Fairs/Eufa surely?
  14. Do Holme Moss once a week, i'll be having a nosey to see how the pro's handle it.
  15. Worthington (shankly said there were problems with him) and bowles whilst artistic didnt exactly make it large with major clubs back then (presumably there's a reason for that), Marsh was told point blank shortly after arriving at City....that he was too fat to contemplate even being considered for the first team (though his spin on it was along the lines of he could not believe he'd been a paid professional and could'nt get anywhere near the squad memebers on training days-he was also bought in Jan whilst we were top of the table and ultimately upset the balance of the team enough for us to b
  16. It would be fair to say the drinking culture amongst the white lots changed on these isles once foriegn travel become halfway affordable, still half ten last orders on a sunday mid '70's..the lots that had made it abroad were still stuck on that body clock regardless if you could drink when you wanted (impressionables sometimes mistake a wrong lot for the latest must have resulting in a new found cult/fashion-sometimes it's simply that simple), other foriegn visitors were still sober, sometimes (a lot) drinking with thier children (wine/meal).
  17. Beautiful English 853 steel frame, the wrap-around chainstay seatube junction is a work of art. His fitness was'nt all that, i'd expect a lot of pro's would tan that record had they the funding/inclination but he was making a tv programme, possibly a touch arrogant/ignorant when dismissing Rourkes suggestion with the tyre increase, intresting that steel was spec'd with all these £10k carbon bikes around..perhaps they know something the slaves to fashion don't.
  18. Heard Rush make your point once Stiff, an interviewer was trying to big him up cause of the brace he had scored but forgotten that the play he was describing resulted in Rush missin....Rush interjected and told him he knew he was in for a bollokin off paisley regardless of the conversions.and explained there would be no bollockin had he pathetically under-hit it and pea rolled the ball to the waiting keeper....thats between the sticks, he explained and a total target miss would have a stewards enquiry.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXLwi-ruwBs this one ? It must be Stig, though me memory tape is showing that match teams reversed (free kick into opposite end), cant see them pulling the 3-2 stroke twice (in a narrow period) ....so yeah must be.....funny i'd have also put money on met scoring 2 in that match. Had dough on it back in the day and the two herberts i was sat with were out of town reds. Dont look like christmas either on that film/pitch condition. Lampard can when he wants pull an amasing stroke, by getting the ball both up and down...inside the box (extremly narrow not

  21. Earlier Rooney used to do it (on the fly) and hide it within his stride pattern, had it bang-off.
  22. Seem to remember Met scoring a tidy one over the christmas period v trafford, mid '80's...jimmy case was not only vastly underated he could strike a ball Charlton-esque.
  23. to paraphrase Sir Bobby Robson...' more important than Man U, more important than Arsenal, thier just three points'
  24. once the pup will retrieve an object in a confined space (kitchen) and you move out to a bigger area (garden) dont hold the toy for more than a sec once it's retrieved, throw it again the very sec the retrieve is completed...keep the excitment on (if you stall you might find the pup stalling with equal correlation before completing the hand-over), two or three times and then shut the caper down leaving the pup wanting more. You'll cement that formula by repeating over 7 consecutive days..even if the pup looks to have well registered in the 2nd or 3rd..carry thru with the 7. You'll find a pup c
  25. Maggie watch the 2nd fight with Cooper....or the rest of the 1st (post the k/down), Cooper hit the bar in the first ten minutes and then did'nt get a sniff over the remainder of the two legs (so to speak).
