Was my boys pup mate, ended up at 33ats an well over 110lb in weight, it's now in happy hunting ground in sky after an accident, wee man was beeling about it an still talks about the big dog all-time, they taught each other a lot, I gave me lad the fawn bitch to use, she is a lot more manageable for him and they do well...

Cheers for all Info guys, it's 25 for my local gun shop to take delivery of an air rifle for us, still a bit torn between the hw25l and hw 30 tho but I think I'll order the 25 and let him plink with that till he can get a full sized one, thanks again

I agree no quicker way to lose all that hard earned respect off them than to kick off at side lines, but sometimes kids do need the truth -
I pinch my toilet rolls out local pub three times a week, if we run out in between we use free newspaper..

The fawn one is a Wheaton/grey x Kerry blue/grey and the cream one is a coursing dog to a bullx bitch mate she younger of 2 but had a couple bunnys

Forget books and get reading ferreting section on here, anything you can't find, then ask. And get out and try it, quickest way to learn, read some books in summer if you want, this time of year you want to be out ferreting, not reading a book about it..

We exact same here mate, it's hard and costs us a fortune but hey, they love it so who are we to not let them do it, likes been said they never asked us to have them, least we can do is provide an encourage them. For all its hassle tho watching me lad get his belts at presentations or having his teacher pull us aside after a gradeing is seriously heart warming, same with daughter. Feel like telling some of the other parents to get a grip sometimes, but instead I'll put me effort an energy into my own kids. -

Don't get too hung up on what size a dog will end up pal, get a dog you fancy an get it out, couple of inch either side of what you ideally want won't be end of world..
