I was walking my dog, a big brown and black mastiff, past the local "haunted house" (you know the type of thing), when I saw what looked like a spectral figure in the doorway. It warned me to stay away and not disturb the family secret. I told my friends about this and the following night we all went to investigate - imagine it, me, the dog, the good looking girl, the sporty guy and the geek, all wandering around in the gloom.........oh ! Hang on that's Scooby Doo isn't it ?

How I wish I had a woodburner !! (Bungalow's got no chimney). We have got wind up torches and lanterns, gas canister stoves and hexalite burners (good for a brew - saves gas) and a few military rations stashed away(just realised that it sounds like we're expecting WW3 doesn't it?). I prefer to think of them as "sensible precautions" if you don't mind ! Tried the indoor BBQ - can't recommend it !

What about herol bomber graham would`nt fight sibbo ---leics v nottm would of filled a stadium sibbo calls herol the limbo dancer .. differant styles would of been intersting fight .. I liked Sibsons style it was all or nothing he didnt have the ability to box his way in but he made the best of what he had he was a pretty brutal puncher as well.......i remember he smashed up Mint

Sweeping statement I would put Jim Driscoll Owen Moran, Jock McAvoy,Joe Bowker, Len Harvey,Kevin Finnegan, Errol Graham,and Alan Rudkin above Sibbo , who I saw many times at Wembley and the R.A.H i`ll give you a few of them --- Finnegan boxed Sibbo's ears off at the R.A.H for the British title , that was 24 years ago ,[ makes me feel old because I was there ]. i know there are some good Gypsy boxers around already, as there are from most other walks of life,but I wondered why they don't almost dominate pro boxing (in Britain anyway), since the sport is so important to their culture ?

Can't help you with Bristol specifically, but have you asked at local primrary schools ? I know it sounds daft, but I got my first lot of chicks through a friend who was a classroom assistant at the time. They hatch the cute little fluffy chicks to teach kids about the wonders of life,without any thought to what to do with them afterwards. If you can find a school that does this, you're in ! I got 5 chicks for a donation to school funds ( think I gave them £15 in the end ). Might not work for you,but it won't cost you anything to ask around. Good luck buddy !

To be honest Max, I'm glad it's not a question of family honour that I have to fight any bloke that calls me out whenever he feels like it, but on the whole I think I'd agree with you. Just as a sideline here, I used to go to the same gym as Fidel Castro Smith (Slugger O'Toole), who I think lost a big fight to Henry Wharton in (about) '92/'93.

I've followed Marky B's thread "Rough Fight" - terrific fight if anyone hasn't watched it ! - and it got me wondering. I know Tyson Fury is doing well at the moment, and a few fighters have called themselves "Gypsy" this, that or the other over the years. But, since fighting/boxing is an important part of gypsy/traveller culture and some are clearly very good, why don't we see more of these fighters higher up and more successful in the professional ranks ? i know there is probably a good few guys on here who know a bit about this, so I'd be interested to know what anyone thinks.

Round our way the landowners are really good at clearing up after hedgecutting and ditch clearing. I fing the worst offenders are building sites and the idiots who dig the roads up.....'king mess they leave behind !!!
