    I dont get why you keep bringing bairns into it, of course i wouldny treat a bairn the same as a ferret, i would have no hesitation superglueing a small cut or skin tear on my dogs but would take my bairn to docs if she was cut

    Whatever bud, am no going to get into an internet argument with you. The theory behind the petrol/cotton wool is tics breathe thru their erse, fumes off cotton wool make them loosen their grip, a wee twist and pull and its off, ive removed dozens of tics from my own and friends animals and have never left a head in yet

    I dont pour lighter fluid on my ferrets, i soak a wee bit cotton wool in it and hold it on the tic for a few secs then give a wee twist and pull when did kids come into the subject? you assume wrong, kids are diffrent to animals

    I've used petrol or lighter fluid on a bit cottonwool for years, never lost an animal yet

    Some blasts from the past on this thread we had some right bangers for lamping years ago, my worst was a FSO polonez also had a talbot alpine, my mates used marinas, hillman avenger, datsun cherry, worst was my mates mini, feckin thing used to conk out in a rain shower, not good when you were someplace you wer'nt supposed to be

    Just out of interest.....what order would you Scots put the top 5 or so managers in order of greatness,out of i suppose..... 1.Stein 2.Ferguson 3.Shankly 4.Busby 5.Smith Cant think who else would fit into a top 5 but by all means add your own Busby Shankly Ferguson Stein and I would put Jock Wallace in front of smith....I think there's this myth sprung up about Wattie mainly by the scottish media...he's a good manager I spose but not a great one I would of like to have seen what wee jim mclean would of done with a bigger team with a bigger budget, h
