The dog could have been worse, yes - it could also have been a bit better - so it's a judgement call. There is a really nasty gastric bug going around the amount - vomiting, bloody diarrhoea, really pulling the dogs down. I have seen plenty dying with it, and plenty that shook the symptoms off after a few days.

Not sure what to suggest about the pup - just wanted to say sorry about the terrier, and I hope your health improves to allow some more enjoyment of walking.

Something smaller - more whippet than I have now. Always ended up with tall ones.

tobasco sauce goes with ANYTHING!! I drank a bottle once because i was told i couldnt, it didnt seem as good an idea the next day Are you sure they said "shouldn't" and not "couldn't " ??!!

Aye the English call dogfish rock salmon to make it sound better We do that with a lot of food. Then they tell us what's really in it and we get all sniffy about it !

depression is a mental state that can get deeper and last for years,............could be drug addiction involved and the kid was abused everytime he needed a fix.....................im not sticking up for him , im saying no one knows the consequences ,.............................. same as dog cruelty , some horrible cases ,...........you would think that these too have no conscience ,...................but then you see remorse .??? inside the mind of a criminal ........no one knows what there thinking .......... i tell you what i was watching toughest prisons on death row ................

Agree that a burst of anger can lead to something not meant - I have had the " red mist" and been aggressive far far beyond what the situation needed - but this was sustained abuse over 2 years - the number of fractures that kid had over it's life is scary - 50+. Thats not a spate. I value what you say Whip 99, and I doubt I have disagreed with any of your posts on anything - but this wasn't a fit of rage - it was sustained abuse (eta spelling adjustment)

yep - smell it once - you will never forget it. You can get blood in any diarrhoea, but parvo is one of those unmistakeable smells - like a chinook rather than a single blade helo.

I did see deep fried mars on the menu in Romanos. Didn't try them though - I'm a bit too Southern. Do they not do deep fried jellied eels down your way? Naah. They're not deep fried. They'rejust boiled in their own slime .Much tastier. . no salt or pepper ? freak.

Don't feel too bad - he suffered. eta - he deserved it, and I don't justify what he did - but he knew - and if he got half the suffering that that little girl got, then there is justice

why would it be losing weight in eh kennel?,if my dog was in eh hoose or eh kennel...it would be getting eh same grub 20c in house -10c outside. Just common sense to me really. They gonna need a few more calories. Agree - shivering the weight off to keep warm if it cold out. If the outside kennels are good, and draught free etc, it isn't a prob - but most are not enough to stop a dog from needing to use energy to keep warm yer dog should not be in eh kennel shivering all night? No, but not all kennels are draught proof, with decent bedding and a heat lamp. This time last month, the outside

Mine are fed once a day. They are designed to eat a big meal every so often, then nothing - not like herbivore grazers. If out working, they get a light mince meal lunchtime, and some mince/soup/warm on coming back. They get the odd treat in the day, if I'm feeling nice, but thats all

same here. carnt even see a star Sod's law isn't it - clear as a bell last night, could see hundreds of stars, but tonight..... nope ... grrrrr ! not a sniff of horsemeat or alien red rain either :laugh: Nope. No paedo's, no freaky pony burgers, no comets, no surprise killing of girlfriends on valentines day...... I may have to start watching soaps ! its very quiet here even the cows have stopped mooing :laugh: hmmmm is that meaning rain, or meteor showers !
