  1. You need to get in touch via his webpage,as I think he maybe the only genuine one in the game still, but they are not cheap. But from what I've been told he talks the talk and more importantly walks the walk.I saw his pack (or some off them)at Ragley 2009
  2. My mate has hunted with the said fella, and vry impressed.I believe he breeds two lines a pure sealyham line and an outcross line to some very old russel lines.my mate who has been around a bit,has really been smitten.Different style to alot of others but real earthdogs.
  3. Dillian are your dogs directly out off coalville Billy?
  4. I got a 11 month old one who is doing well.Just let it be a pup and only train it by its self, its still young and beddy are slower to mature than a patterdale for example.
  5. My mate rats with his two whippets, and has good sport.
  6. Why was the pup for sale mate anyway?
  7. That is the majority of charlies we take a year,is cover/bush work.again with my Plummers and a lurcher, but dispatched with shotgun as required by law of course.Well done mate.
  8. So whats the record haul?I know some lads a couple of years back took a 1000 or so with 8 dogs in cornwall.I took 407 with 7 dogs.So whose had the most and with only a handful of dogs?
  9. Ah so thats why Sumo did'nt come out today.Well done lads
  10. Ah,I know who you are mate.Happy New year
  11. And this is why these are the last Plummers I own and I belong to no clubs and this is why so many over the years have left the breed.
  12. Hiya Glenn.Well 1st thing Tangle is dead and the reason he went for the judge was that the judge was bouncing dogs by their tails, and the judge upset a fair few dogs on the day.As for Coalville stuff they work belong ground and give there all.I've got three and have no compliats. As for all the componets of various Plummers that have a certain coat or a thin chest etc, that is not really of interest on a working site.Half the stuff you said I have'nt got a clue about. Most lads on this site are just interested about dogs working.all this talk about confirmation is of interest to those only who b
  13. The old wyremead stuff was okay, but wyremead stuff does'nt get worked and neither does Legion.Well not earthwork wise.FACT.Not by there respective breeders anyway.
  14. You've probably said it before somewhere but what is the breeding of ted and molly?sorry if you're repeating yourself.
  15. Opinions vary.My late dog tangle died to ground and was built like a brick outhouse(no bull in him)to be honest was too big really.Hence he did'nt get as much earth work that he'd like.He was cerby breed, and he had a head like a bucket.fireman can vouch for that.Cerby went over a lot of bitches, too many in my opinon, and a variety.some good some not so.Where I live we have a real cross section of Plummers from a variety of lines, and I've dug to most.some you would'nt look twice at but they were terrific earth dogs- such as twinkle and Bliss(twink had perthes,so limped and Bliss had pricked ea
  16. Have you got the Fell and Moorland terrier club?
  17. BBB some are a bit snipey, but the majoritys heads are fine.Mine are.If anything some of the males are too big (and they are the ones without any bull in them)In some of the Plummers there is alot of Patterdales.the coalville stuff are very patterdale in shape with a red/white coat. You need to shop around to get the wheat from chaff. There is good and bad in all breeds-the more popular a breed the more the messers come to the breed.Thats life!
  18. I had a dig in sand 2 weeks ago,on my own when a dog went in by accident (no collar).Only 5 feet, but took me 3 hours to get down. After the first 3 foot,it went quiet.I thought she was dead, but she closed in.fortunatly got dog out safe. Her eyes were a state. My only 2nd time in sand,1st time ended sadly.I hate sand!
  19. Topman Digbert,give the w****r a slap.
  20. I lamp rats at least once a week, possibly more as it gets colder.Normally around grain stores. As for rabbits,no way even with a leggy Beddy.Plus on the whole terriers make to much noise
  21. Hiya fireman, long time no hear.Hows the dog breed. Is it out of Molly? There are alot of good looking Plummer dogs about, but only a few who are used to ground fensaluki. But as I always say each to there own
  22. If you want to see pics there is a long running thread on here about Beddys or goto the "working beddy forum"
  23. Ditto. Not all Beddys have to be outcrossed. The usual outcrosses are the Laeland or the Border.
  24. One of mine, never seems to get marked or very little and she always gets a grip.Last week she was to ground in a sand earth for 3 hours and lucky to come out alive. But other than sand in her eyes(that gave her very sore eyes) she was un marked. To be honest I think she'll come unstuck in the end.
