  1. Fair points, I take them on the chin. I was thinking more of the teenage players like Greenwood and Williams. I always think with kids you need an arm round the shoulder and not a kick up the arse. The last three managers did not bother with the Academy kids at all. Ollie is giving them a chance and they look tremendous players to me. They both have an " I was born for this stage prescence" about them. I haven't heard any encouragement from former utd players directed towards them. I think that"s part of their role, to encourage youngsters. A word of praise is generally worth a dozen put do
  2. I suppose so mate. Sad but true. Maybe I'm naive moaning about lack of loyalty. There's an element of the big ' I AM' about their criticism too. "I was so great these guys aren't a patch on me" which grates on me. There's some promising kids out there who need confidence, it's a shame there's no headlines to be made in positivity.
  3. Paul Parker has just joined Roy Keane , Paul Scholes, Paul Ince, Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and others in rubbishing the present Man U team. Anybody with a brain can see they are playing poorly at the moment. What's the point of former players sticking the boot in the squad and the manager? I don't think there is a team anywhere which has bought so poorly in the last twenty years. There have been some truly bizarre signings including many players who Fergie had never even seen playing. I can't remember the last time we actually sold a player for a profit apart from big Lukaku who we broke eve
  4. Make its sleeping area very low down so it has to crawl to gain entry to it. Dogs need to squat to pee or poop. If they can't squat they can't foul their sleeping area.
  5. I can't get over the fact that there are so may people out there daft enough to buy books telling you what to eat to lose weight. To lose weight you must bloody stop eating so much and stop drinking sugary or alcoholic drinks. Don't suppose I could fill a book with that message though. And people dont want to hear that message.
  6. I am hoping my next holiday will be in Finland. I keep reading what a terrific, progressive country it is, I'd like to see it for myself. Anybody suggest a location? I was thinking of the capital but maybe others could advise me. It won't be a field sports holiday I will be going with she who must be obeyed.
  7. Practising what they preach.?. Buy my diet book and achieve my weight. https://www.theguardian.com/food/2020/jan/07/weve-always-been-honest-about-our-weight-loss-the-pinch-of-nom-chefs-on-their-recipe-for-success
  8. Says it's blocked in my country..copyright etc.I will check it out on Youtube. Thanks mate.
  9. Yep, there ain't no words. Life's a bitch. I've got survivor's guilt. He seemed to get all the shit and me very little.
  10. I visited an old mate that was in a hospice. We laughed till we cried remembering our adventures when we were young. We both said we felt 30 years younger. Then he said pity the grim reaper is waiting outside. Two days later he was dead. What this has got to do with drugs I dont know. Maybe laughter and frienship are good psychological crutches?
  11. Any investment in the stock market averages five per cent per annum. Hargreaves Lansdowne charges very little for investing money. I invested a lump sum in 2012 and it has increased by over 50%. Experts reckon there's a crash coming though.
  12. Hows the nicotine withdrawal going along? It's a b*****d to beat but gets easier every day?
  13. How's the nicotine withdrawal going?
  14. f**k me, talk about human guinea pigs. Presumably loaded guns in the equation too. Mad!
  15. One of my sons works from home. He dreads ever being made redundant and going back to a regular job
  16. Ha ha you called my bluff. I' m chickening put of the offer mate. I'm happy with my state of mind at the moment and don't want to mess with it.
  17. I always found work was bad for my mental health. Seriously. Being retired is f****n bliss.
  18. If they were so good why don't you continue to indulge? Family reponsibilities etc?
  19. I don't think I could handle it. I have problems with nightmares/ptsd or whatever you want to call it. Put me in the nut house I reckon. My best mate had a thing about being buried and not being properly dead. He begged me to make sure he was dead before they screwed the coffin down. I did. He was defo dead! He had been in a lot of trouble and been locked up a lot plus he took whatever he could get his hands on hence his mental state.
  20. Yes whisky is a big no no for me mate. Firewater. I only drink a coupla beers or a coupla glasses of wine.
  21. On another thread somebody, suggested I start a thread on recreational drugs asI am interested in their effects. Coke, LSD or why. I've never indulged, wrong generation and too conservative lol . I've always fancied LSD for its supposed mind enhancing effect but have been too scared to try it as some friends have reported really bad trips. Anybody care to report their experiences.?
  22. How does coke make you feel? I have never tried it. I'm also Interested in LSD efects. Had friends that took it and some had horrible experiences. Never tried that either...my mind is too fragile without that stuff. Anybody report a really great trip that changed their life?
  23. Think he must have been hung like a bunny rabbit. His victims didn't know they had been prodded. If I was one of his unidentified victims, I don't think I would welcome plod knocking on the door telling me I was a pornstar featuring on his phone. Might want to get checked out for disease though.
