  1. i was told 1year later when i got my license back, after i defended myself against a attacker, the police suggested for me to take a caution and have it over and done with. if i had of done so i would have lost my license, but as it was in self defense i fought it to the end it took a year and 2 days [bANNED TEXT] i got my rifles back the problem was the other person was worse off than me .

  5. i have a simple Nikon stiring mil dot on my cz .17 i have calibrated mild dots out to 200 meters but i dot dare shot live quarry in the wind with it. i took it out on a breezy day just to check how bad it would be affected by wind the simplest way i can express wat i seen was shock. windy days 120m max breezy days 150m max calm summer condition 200m
  6. i have to short friend who i have taken them out for a bit of plinking with my hmr and .22 they have the same problem so the next i went out with them i took the alen keys with me to adjust scope alot more fun when u have the eye relief set to ur own preference it makes the day alot more enjoyable after i set it up for them the very nxt day they went and got f.a.c applications so to a simplest thing as eye relief has changed the out come of to people who had no interest in shooting .
  7. I have been looking around for a nice simple hunting scope with a fairly simple hold over reticle. and on a budget! so i finaly decided on a redfield mad by leupold lifetime guarantee its got a range finding reticle which cover .223 up to 600yards. uttings have them for £170 and £10 delivery on sale i managed to import it from Texas for £115. i just ask the shop to send marked as a gift and the said yea no problems 9 working days later it arrived and im very impressed with the scope for the money. its got excellent eye relief, marked internal adjustment knobs, reticle is easy on

  9. I have only been uaing 55g ammo which is getting me fairly good results but most guys seem to be shoting lighter stuff 45-50g in a 1-12 twist barrel anyone exsperienced the difference in the 55g to 45/50g ammo?

  11. my dog started to do this as i think i was throwing the decoy to far so i have started throwing the closer. and yes from time to time she will go out abit so i call her back and send her out again and watch her if she goes to far i get her to halt an then give a left or a right arm signal . i have also noticed if i throw a decoy 10 times +[bANNED TEXT] wee set out for a hunt it takes abit of exciting out of her as as soon as she see's decoy go away she knows its time to get the nose down .
  12. my sprimnger was shy and would grrrrrr at other dog from time to time so i through her in head first and took her to a small beach were i live at 6pm [bANNED TEXT] there lots of dogs there off the leed (everyone knows each other) a couple of days of it it she has never growled or barked at a other dog since. [bANNED TEXT] i take her to the beach now she just runs about ignoring the others dogs as they chase and try and jump over her, the only time she gets pi ssed of is [bANNED TEXT] there is young dogs that barked her and nip her ears but hey i would get pissed off myself. and i must
  13. .17hmr for cheapness will do job on foxs out to 100yards no problem just make sure to use a soft nosed bullet or ,223 u can get cheap ammo 30 pounds for 100 but there only fmj but u get much for range 300+ yards.
  14. theres a guy on utube (which I'll try and add link) that says he.s x military and he shows a range of videos on how to increase accuracy he beds stock levels scope mount puts a good bushnell 4200 on it shows how to hold wat ammo to use etc then on the last did he does the zeroing and guess wat the group is terrible im talking 3+ inches and wit custom heavy barrel rem 700 ,glass bedded, after market stock and a bushnell 4200 on it. COME ON WATS GOING ON!
  15. i have seen some dodgy looking set ups but the prob with u tube is you can c there gear and it all top notch stuff i can get cheap .223 ammo which is £30 for 100 rounds and its averages at just over a inch.
  16. i can hit a 2pence with 5 shots with my cz 17hmr if i take my time. and then there guys that shoot 308s at 100yards/meters bench rested and there groups are terrible. which Leeds me to think there just terrible shots. but they couldn't be that bad?
  17. I get confused when i watch people shooting there rifles on utube [bANNED TEXT] guys are shooting out around 100 yards and getting 4 and 5" groups and thinking its good,[bANNED TEXT] i find shooting my rifles i can get 2" groups shooting fast and a 1" fairly easy with a cheap how .223 and a simple redfield 3-9x50 scope?
  18. they tend to come loose the first thing i did [bANNED TEXT] i got mine was to lock tight the screw as i use it for hunting it gets a nock now and again
  19. i noticed the stalk on my how was very flexible so i cut out stock innards and filled with belzona it a super metal expoxy so the stock has a nice stick fell to it not the are various cheap expoxys araldite £3
  20. Is this a rifle with the Hogue overmold stock? If it is have a look and see if the fore end is twisting when you hold it in normal 'field shooting' positions. You may find that the stock is touching the barrel and affecting accuracy and consistency. My stock is as flexible as a fishing rod and its one thing that I knew when I bought the rifle. As soon as funds allow, a good stock will be fitted. This is a known problem with the overmold stocks but the actions themselves are outstanding. Also the triggers are simplicity itself to adjust.
  21. yeah my old springer put a bit of weight on after the snip but no difference atall in behaviour.
  22. the most important thing is to try an get a air rifle wit a regulator this will improve shot per fill and accuracy hw 100 peep say they are not reged but they are. some theobens fx some bsa's a mildot scope and a ranger finder is crucial for pinpoint accuracy on all air rifles
