another day on the blackie's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GEOFF.223 replied to trentotter's topic in Pigeon Shooting & Decoying
my record for crows was 159 i started at 9 decoying over barley with a flapper and 6 fuds the moved to a local farm which were feeding the cows breed mixed with the meal the crows were loving it so at the entrance to the shed o put 2 pieces of fishing line over each other in a cross and then hang the fun decoys off it with more fishing line so they moved with the breeze. best day shooting i ever had SO COME ON SPRING HURRY UP -

Whats the best time of the evening/night for fox??
GEOFF.223 replied to jam1e's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
i used to work in a power station and there was a tame fox that lived there it did the place a favour as there was alt of feral cats and rats the fox kept there numbers down. the fox used to sit out side the canteen at 7 at nite and we used to give it scraps. i had a video on my old phone of hand feeding it i will have to look for it. know the times in which i seen it varied some days you would see it searching up the shore line just on the edge of the power stations and sometimes it would wait outside our changing hit a 3am as we would give it food. there is also very tame pheasants th -

223 Or 22-250 For Foxing?
GEOFF.223 replied to Hunter123456's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
only main advantage i can think off is the 22-250 is that it will shot flatter than the .223 this will help at night when considering longer shot as you will not need to hole over as much. but then at night they seem to come within 200yards 90 percent of the time. i was always a fan of the 22-250 but with the better ammo selection for 223 and i can get bulk pack of 223 for £36 per 100 AND resale on .223's are higher because of the less chance of barrel burn out. the end -
buy from dealer inside barrel should be a black mirror like finish stick to the popular brands beretta beneili baikal stay away from cheap semi auto's as if its not a beneili or a beretta it will probably be hit or miss. the most reliable 2 shotguns i had were a s/s baikel and a bereta 302
