  1. only shoty i have at the min is my old s/s baikel as i traded in my other guns to fund my .223 but i love the wee baikel and its easy to shoot lets hope the steel shot don't wreck it :0
  2. what about this for a permission; 5000+ pigeons free ammo (steel shot only) and a guy drives around to flush the birds back around. its at a giant silo
  3. don't worry boys i know how to shot and all the different technics to do so. i have shot foxes at 400 yards on good calm nights, i also have a few fox shaped metal plates i set out to 600 yards for abit of fun but the wind on the 5.5 bullet recks havoc but yet still good fun.
  4. was out tonight with the .223 afyer 3hrs dtiving about finaly called one in, ot was 150yards away it was a simple shot as i had sand bag on roof of car completely steady BANG fox runs for the hills I PULLED THE BLOODY TRIGGER FOR FCUK SACH. absolutley ragging as i was out shooting clays at 300yards earlier with medium ease. so moral of the story always take your/my time.
  5. i would pick a tikka as sako have the occasional bad barrel very rare but i have never heard of tikka with a bad barrel.
  6. i recently found a little shop that just sells decoys ans to be honest there prices are great. full bodied flocked £4 fill body plastic £3 bouncer poles £10 and there flappers andagnets are also very cheap.
  7. was wanting to go out lastnite but half home from work it started to snow and my 406 is not very good on snow nor ice. i will vincher out friday night if i do not hit the drink.
  8. was out zeroing my howa .223 after fitting new mounts and was extreamly surprised by how much the wind affected the 55g bullet compared to calmer days. the wind was 12mph gusting up to 20mph on my gauge and the bullet drift was 10" i have previously shot out to 450 yards on calmer days hitting a fox shaped target. is there any data i could use to help with wild drift?
  9. SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A WEIHRAUCH LLLLOOOOLLLL
  10. tikka's are nicer than the remingtons and are just as accurate. if its a stalking/hunting rifle go for a tikka lite if your interested in target shooting and some long range varminting go for the remington heavy barrel. just to twist things the weatherby vanguard v2 comes in a lite barreled version guaranteed to shot 1" groups at 100 yards but it should as it pillar and glass bedded i think there well worth a look as a weatherby will no doubt be my next rifle
  11. so basically what you guys are saying is don't feck around with it ¿¿¿¿ BUT yes a good training aid. is the any good deals or kits for sale
  12. im considering getting a dummy luncher to teach my springer to associate pointing gun in the air to getting ready to retrieve, and marking falling birds.

  19. i make my tenterfields from 304 1,5mm stainless as 304 is stiffer and will not bend as easy. there are hundreds of distress sound downloads available fo free straight to your phone. i also have a small mp3 speaker i plug my phone into to achieve louder sounds. i also have a old work phone and what i do is set its ring tone as a distress call attach it to the mp3 speaker set it out in the middle of the field sit back and call it off my other phone taaadaaa
  20. i got rid of my .17hmr as it did not fit any category between my 22lr and .223 as ammo cost over .223 was not end of the world stuff and i could not fully silence it like the .22lr so now i just use the 22 for close range and noise sensitive areas and 223 for longer ranges
