Seen a post on airgunbbs for new pellets, the ad reads as follows ....new air rifle pellet from Prometheus Pellets (Pax Guns) of London. This is essentially a re-working of the previously extremely popular and successful Daystate 'Rangemaster' .177 pellet which was so successful on the Field Target circuit. Being the same as the 'Rangemaster' therefore, the new Defiant HFT (Hunter Field Target) 'Competition Grade' is a .177 calibre 8.5 grain (0.55 grams) pellet, being a further development of the already successful 7.5 grain Defiant pellet, which is made in 3 head sizes and with a split skir

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

I picked up a hw99 (wiehrauch) for £140 sh, great rifle. The cost of the 88g co2 is too expensive for plinking, you would need a bulk fill conversion. I would also stay away from pump UPS. Zini knows what he is talking about, check out his YouTube chanel verminhunters tv. Atb. Roy. -
not really sneaky, still allowed to use post office, Just had a rifle sent to me from scotland, sent 12 noon and came 9am next day £24.50. There is a limit on the length, full info is here ( Info from airgunbbs site) How to send an airgun by Royal Mail We should take care to wrap air rifles very securely, in bubble wrap, stout boxes and with lots of parcel tape, to minimise the chances of the contents spilling out when being rough-handled and causing an "incident". The Royal Mail bosses would probably like more of these incidents since they will provide evidence next time they apply to

Mid life crisis toy :)
Roy Williamson replied to Roy Williamson's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Not had alot of time to get it down the range. I did shoot for a few mins before work yesterday. Shot at a leaf about 17 m away ( solid wall backstop in my garden ) then managed to put 3 more shots thru the same hole, and that was with a very slight wind. Not sure what the shot count is yet. Supposed to be about 100 per fill. I am waiting for a valve to come from china to convert my main fill station, the other one I have is a little dodgy and made for a fire extinguisher, there is a little leaking from the bottle connector when charging, so I dont think I am getting a full fill in yet. -

On my hawke I just unscrewed the objective end of the scope, only about 1cm max (just a fraction of a full turn) and i was in focus at 20m, friend has a nikko I think, he loosened the end and there was a ring inside that he just moved to get in focus then tightened the end back up. So each scope is different. Yes they are usually nitrogen filled so you dont want to ruin the scope. But for me the scope was useless as it was and there where a few people at the club that had done it before and showed me how to do it. -
Camouflage and Concealment...

Not sure what the weather is like where you are, but up in Liverpool its fantastic atm. Just perfect for some shooting at the weekend. Those look like they would keep the old bones nice and warm. I dont have any permissons myself, and have never shot off range. Would love to get the chance to try, but not much available in the middle of a large city, plus getting time off work is not easy, they just keep throwing the overtime at us. I am lucky to get down to my club 6 times a month. Goodluck with the new camo ATB Roy -

if it is non ao/paralax adjustable you should still be able to adjust the objective lens by slightly unscrewing it, I had the same problem on my hawke 3-9x40, it was very hard to get it moving at first. Some have an outer locking ring and then you can adjust the lens and then screw the locking roing back. It is worth it as my target was out of focus at 20m at anything beyond 5 zoom -
Wow, people love to make something out of nothing. Dan, if no one has explained. to upload a photo, I made a free account on Photobucket. Signed in with facebook, so nothing to fill out. Then it gives you the links to put into your post. Goodluck mate. Atb Roy.

Be careful when loading your rifle

I always hold the lever on an under/side lever gun, but i must be honest, I dont usually hold the barrel on my break barrel, Think I will make sure I do all the time now. I may not get a trapped finger, but good chance of a barrel in the face and a knackered barrel. -
Had a few myself when i was about 14. Couple of ricochets one cut my forehead and a couple of broken windows, mum was very happy about the windows, and very concerned that i had tripped and cut my head . I shot out our back door by pinning targets on. Just shows why you need a good backstop and safe target to shoot at. I also had a gun go off and the barrel fly up, luckely no injury and gun ok. I am a bit of a safety now. Also shows why younger shooters need supervision untill they fully undertand the importance of safe shooting

or draw a face on a potato and shoot it I am drawing hitler faces -
take your pick just depends how much you want to spend. MTC do some nice scopes. £175 will get you a mamba 3-12x44. Not alot of choice in 3-9 on more expensive scopes.Leupold do a nice 3-9x36 if you have £800. Realistically its going to be a Hawke or Nikko for normal money. Any reason for wanting 3-9 or is more a case of a more compact scope. maybe a fixed mag would be a good choice, usually better image than a zoom of the same price

uk 5p 18mm 3.25g Cupronickel (75:25) (Nickel-plated steel from Jan 2012) -
My only precharge is a custom co2, but if i was in the market for pcp I would go for AA 200/400. Lots of ppl I know have them and rave about them. The hw100 is a fantastic gun but pricy. As long as you dont need over 100 shots AA all the way
