    Had another pigeon yesterday, no pic as the mobile battery went that warm i thought it was gonna blow up in my pocket! decided to keep freya on until the weekend after next as ive got a few days off so thought it worth having that final push before the end of the season

    You could put some epoxy in it but it really doesnt need strengtheing it will be absolutely fine. John tgins the tips on his pocket poachers to 9mm anyway Ive got a topshot and a prototype from him, only catties i shoot now, the top shot is really pocketable, the prototype is slightly bigger but fits the hand perfect. I asked him about the sizes beforehand, i had a seal sniper off him and it was massive, needed a bag to carry it in lol

    Just be careful mate, alot of bills catties are quite large, you want a top shot catty off him, they are fantastic

    Mate the multiplex will still be just fine, strongest wood type material for catties there is. Bill hays is great, mine took just 2 week to come and its my most favourite

    not sure yet mate, still deciding whether to keep or sell it, the catty is quality and fits the hand fantastic, but my wellies dont fit my feet very well lol.

    I did borrow a dremel but first time I came to use it the clamp that secured the dremel bit broke so went with files and sandpaper I stead lol. Hence why its took me weeks to do it lol

    The core I had cut to get the shape right but everything else was done with coping saw and files

    Leave the hdpe under the heat till it goes shiny, clamp under as much pressure as possible then leave plenty of time to cool, pulling it too early is what causes the warping. Best way to finish it ive found is to either flame bake it over a candle constantly keeping it moving. Or heat a metal spoon up or similar and rub it over the hdpe, again its got to be continous or else it will create melted points along it, hope that helps

    Cant beat single dankung 1745 for m-8 hexnuts, blow right through any pigeon. shot rabbits with them and stuck them in the middle of the skull, cleanest kills ive seen. They are super light to draw too, makes for a steadier aim

    Then obviously pest species arent classed as game so im assuming they are fine to be shot at night under the wildlife and country act and the current general license. Correct me if im wrong obviously, tends to happen a lot lol

    No, admin and the moderators are happy to see any legal activities on the forum Just to clarify; 'taking' any birds other than feral pigeons (with permission) at night is illegal. With, or without a lamp Just to ask, i thought it was game that couldnt be shot at night, then only ferals with artificial light? What law says wood pigeons, crows, magpies etc, cant be shot without artificial light? Not looking for an argument i just genuinly dont know myself

    Can't explain it really mate they should be dropping. Stick to the hexnuts. I don't think anything can beat them. Only ammo I will use as they destroy everything

    Thanks mate, I just can't wait to see her go next season when I will have a proper season with her now all the trouble I had at the start has been ironed out. Think this weekend is definetly the last though.

    Never, wouldn't expect that from bill but with how busy he is it doesn't really surprise me. Mines flawless really. Don't think I will shoot any other catties now

    Lol, bet a coppers lad now owns it I never phoned up about mine but my mate phoned about his. They had no record of receiving either of them but since we had no receipt to say they had taken them or anything like that we couldn't proven anything, neither was the incident reported either. So ye I'm sure some lads having a laugh with them
